No, I wasn't lashing Mika. She just has sensitive skin. She reacted from the paper on the scale or something. It went away before the doctor even came in to see her and check it out.

My bi/yearly checkup with my oncologist. This was my Anniversary and the last day I completed chemotherapy 5 years ago! yeah! I can now go off of my tamoxifen!

Picking up my brave Bianchi after her annual checkup at the Bicycle Doctor. I rode my road bike this morning. I certainly prefer my commuter bike to do laundry and shopping. For starters, it has a basket.
had her 2-week checkup today. she's doing perfectly well. already weighs 9 lbs 10 oz (from 8 lbs 12 oz at birth) and is 22 inches long (from 20 3/4 inches). crazy good health; totally mellow girl. seems to be content in this world, unless she's needing food or a diaper change. doctor agrees that her eyes seem to be turning brown. :-)

Poor Toby. We had an appointment at the vet for his yearly checkup/vaccs this morning. I always make a separate trip for him because he doesn't do as well as the girls on vet visits, and today was no exception. It took me 10 minutes just to get him in the carrier, and once we were in the car, he yowled the whole way (all of a mile, maybe). Once there, I tried to get him out of the carrier (another 10 minute ordeal) only to find that he had, um, had a little accident ALL OVER himself. Sigh. Needless to say, the vet didn't take very long examining stinky, soggy Tobe--just quickley gave him his shot and sent us on our way. Once home it was straight to the bathroom for a bath. Have you ever tried to bathe a cat? Ahhh... good times, good times. I'm not sure which one of us way wetter by the time we were through....
