The Trebant was a notoriously awful East German car (a sort of answer to the Volkswagen). They can still be seen driving around Berlin, spewing their noxious fumes, an ironic form of "Ostalgia".
Checkpoint Charlie (or "Checkpoint C") was the best-known Berlin Wall crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War (1947ā1991), as named by the Western Allies.

SituĆ© juste Ć cĆ“tĆ©, le petit mĆ©morial consacrĆ© aux jeunes gens morts en essayant de passer le mur permet de prendre conscience de cette rĆ©alitĆ©.
It is a very moving place although it became a touristic attraction, we cannot disregard what it represented in a close past.
Situated nearby, the small memorial dedicated to the dead young people by trying to spend the wall allows to become aware of this reality.

Right down the block from Checkpoint Charlie is this currywurst kiosk. Currywurst is very popular in Berlin and there is even a museum dedicated to this delicacy.
