Currently one of my favorite clips of my own so far (at least in full length)...
(The new iMovie somehow always converts the HD files into smaller files and adds this black frame.. does anyone know a way around this?)
On my way back from the Topography of Terror museum I passed by Checkpoint Charlie in a minor blizzard, most fitting for the symbol of the Cold War that the visitors should be presented with such a cold treat!
The Last Kremlin Flag, hanging over Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin, the infamous crossing point between East and West Germany.
The sign with the famous text: You are leaving the American sector.
Checkpoint Charlie was the name given by the Western Allies to a crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War, located at the junction of Friedrichstraße with Zimmerstraße and Mauerstraße (which coincidentally means 'Wall Street'). It is in the Friedrichstadt neighborhood, which was divided by the Berlin Wall. Many other sector crossing points existed in Berlin. Some of these were designated for residents of West Berlin and West German citizens. Checkpoint Charlie was designated as the single crossing point (by foot or by car) for foreigners and members of the Allied forces.

Checkpoint Charlie (or "Checkpoint C") was the best-known Berlin Wall crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War (1947–1991), as named by the Western Allies.
