I am not really a believer in lucky charms, but this wonderful little fella was a gift from my son on a trip to Thailand. The meaning behind Elephants as a lucky charm ring true for this little fella who I love and treasure.

'Overall, Elephants, as lucky charms, carry deep cultural meanings and are cherished for their ability to symbolize good fortune, protection, and strength. Whether through jewelry, statues, or decorative items, they serve as reminders of the positive energies one can invite into their life.

My lucky charm... :-)

The first springtail I ever found (23 june 2013) and they are still present here in the garden, they emerge again and again every year in the spring.

Found this shot while clearing out old clicks from my hard drive. Walking in India isn't just another walk in the Park 😉

The Snake charmers in India primarily work with Indian cobras, a type of poisonous snake that kills around 10,000 people a year in India. The cobra is able to spit its venom when it feels attacked by forcing venom through its fangs.

The charm has nothing to do with the music and everything to do with the charmer waving a pungi, a reed instrument carved out of a gourd, in the snake’s face. Snakes don’t have external ears and can perceive little more than low-frequency rumbles. But when they see something threatening, they rise up in a defensive pose.

The Swiss mountain town of Riggenberg had such a wonderful and unique charm to it that I quickly fell in love with this place! There was an old tower that overlooked this picturesque church that towered above Lake Brienz. This picture to me is a beautiful representation of what Switzerland is all about.

Just for the girls this mattress bed contains plenty of animations and texture sets!

Flattery will get you everywhere, or nowhere, who knows!

Colour re-edit of a shot captured in June 2017 and the astute among you will notice that I have 'Photoshopped' the image to remove a bollard from behind her left shoulder. Full disclosure on this. I rarely ever manipulate a 'street photography' shot like this and if I do I always declare that I have done so. That means that this shot is not true 'street photography' but the top of the bollard was bright yellow and completely distracted from the colour edit of this shot. I made an artistic choice to remove it for the colour shot and I hope that you all understand.

Thank you all for your awesome support for my photography and for your wonderful messages of care and support during this extremely difficult time in my life. I am grateful to each and every one of you.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend of photography.

Take care and enjoy.

She just breezed into my life, charmed me, and before I knew it she was gone again. It was all so sudden....

I'd say her life is very good and she is such a charmer!

The photo is 7,5cm in width and 5,5 cm in height, all in the photos is less than 7,5cm.

I knew just as soon as I started bragging on all the nice sunrises they’d come to an end. It’s okay. Monte Sano has other charms.

Can you ever have too much of a good thing? I don't think so...especially when it comes to something as fun as these. Once I figured out how to make these collaged charms, I couldn't stop. Now my mind is ablaze with all the ways I can craft them into usable items; keychains, bracelets, necklaces. Gotta run...looks like it's going to be another crafty day!

"I remember a hundred lovely lakes,

and recall the fragrant breath of pine

and fir and cedar and poplar trees.

The trail has strung upon it, as upon a thread of silk,

opalescent dawns and saffron sunsets."

~ Hamlin Garland ~

Which came first? The fiber arts tassel or the verse?

Serendipitously the short, poetic composition popped up and brought even more meaning, surprise and delight as it accented the opalescent and saffron beads which had been strung on silken threads upon the dangle, attached to a charm of golden pine cones!

Happy Gorgeous Green Thursday everyone!
