The blue dasher is a dragonfly of the skimmer family. It is the only species in the genus Pachydiplax. It is very common and widely distributed through North America and into the Bahamas. Although the species name longipennis means "long wings", their wings are not substantially longer than those of related species.

A very special morning up on Catbells in the Lake District, back in 2011. An inversion over Derwent Water that hung around for ages, and gave me a load of images. As there were a few that were really variations on the same theme, I simply didn't get round to working them all up. Occasional re-visits, as my post processing skills developed, and taste has changed too. I'm not sure how many I'll offer up this time round, but the 'squares' set I've been developing offers the chance to review any that might fit the format. A little bit of toning thrown in too.

I don’t know about you, but hmmm, every season has its charms?
Each their colours… not that Spring doesn’t have orange or Summer doesn’t have reds, I think it much lies in the ‘combination’ of colours?
And this here is pure Autumn! An orange onion Pumpkin, some Strawberry Corn (mostly decorative Zea mays 'Strawberry'. Popping Corn), some cobnuts (fresh Hazelnuts) and a few Physalis… et voila, Autumn in the studio.

I think this is my favorite waterfall (for now) in the Portland region. It is so beautiful and surrounded by a gorgeous, mossy landscape, and the little bridge in front...I don't know, it feels like you are in a mystical garden, expecting little faeries or hobbits to appear around the corner at any moment. The hike was also really enjoyable, you could see the creek and these giant boulders covered in moss and ferns as you walked through a lush forest...wonderful.

One of a very icy and frozen morning when I back inside then the meadow was so frozen that every step made a loud crunch under my shoes. The sun slowly broke through the thick misty wall and conjured a very moody atmosphere.

Ausstrahlung kommt aus dem Inneren, in dem Fall als Spiel von Licht und Schatten aus dem Inneren, des mit Wasser gefüllten Glases. Ausstrahlung transportiert den inneren Zustand nach aussen und muss nicht unbedingt positiv sein.
Charme ist hingegen immer positiv belegt. Einen negativen Charme kennen wir nicht. Charme ist das, dem andere Menschen schlecht widerstehen können. Wie der Dichter Albert Camus es beschrieb: „Charme ist die Kunst, als Antwort ein Ja zu bekommen, ohne etwas gefragt zu haben.“ Unter Charme verstehen wir ein einnehmendes Wesen, zum Beispiel die Blüte einer Rose.
Charisma hingegen geht über die anderen Begriffe hinaus. Eine Blüte hat Charisma und kann viele Menschen in ihren Bann ziehen. Dabei muss eine charismatische Blüte nicht immer Charme besitzen.
Charisma zieht Menschen in seinen Bann und entsteht durch deren Bewunderung. Charisma ist für sich alleine im stillen Kämmerlein nichts.
Erst dadurch, dass seine Anhänger einem Wesen oder dieser Blüte das Charisma zuschreiben, entfaltet es seine Wirksamkeit.
So, jetzt lasst die Blüte mal auf Euch wirken. 😏
Radiance comes from within, in this case as a play of light and shadow from within, the water-filled glas. Radiance transports the inner state to the outside and does not necessarily have to be positive.
Charm, on the other hand, is always positive. We don't know a negative charm. Charm is what other people find difficult to resist. As the poet Albert Camus put it: “Charm is the art of getting a yes answer without asking anything.” By charm we mean an engaging being, for example the blossom of a rose.
Charisma, on the other hand, goes beyond the other concepts. A flower has charisma and can cast a spell over many people. A charismatic flower doesn't always have to be charming.
Charisma pulls people under its spell and arises from their admiration. Charisma is nothing on its own in a quiet little room.
Only when his followers ascribe the charism to a being or this flower does it develop its effectiveness.
So now let the blossom work on you. 😏
