After the great tragedies and the worst cataclysms, life always ends up resuming its rights. Just a few weeks after the fires that ravaged everything in Australia, buds and leaves were already emerging from the charred trunks. After Covid-19, normal life will once again surface.

Last posts of Char. Time to move on.

Steamed buns filled with barbecue pork.

Poor quality I'm afraid due to being taken in a hurry (the light only lasted a few seconds) probably resulting in UCM which I'm good at ..... but it catches a moment.

Charing Cross train station in London was opened in 1864 and was designed by Sir John Hawkshaw with 6 terminus platforms and a large single span trussed arched train shed roof which was 164ft wide and 510ft long. It quickly became a busy station for both commuter and continental departures, having a direct link into London Bridge station and onwards to Folkestone and Dover.

Along with the station, Sir John Hawkshaw also designed the Hungerford Bridge which carried the railway over the River Thames and into Charing Cross. In 1845 Isambard Kingdom Brunel had built a suspension bridge over the Thames at the same spot, which now had to be demolished for the new railway bridge to be built. Two piers from Brunel’s bridge were used in the new railway bridge and the suspension chains reused in the Clifton Bridge at Bristol. Contemporary with Charing Cross the Clifton Suspension Bridge was being built as a memorial to Brunel with Sir John Hawkshaw and William Henry Barlow as consultant engineers.

I wanted to drive back on saturation a little bit in this pic, because the green of the spring lawn was so intense that it distorted the image. I ended up reducing green and yellow to the max and immediately liked what I got. The subject gaining the attention I wanted.

Tell me what you think. I would be pleased if you drop a comment...

I changed the perspective for this shot and managed to encompass the northern alpine forest on shore, the spawning substrate and the school of Char. I got lucky, but a lot of thought went into creating this shot. For a detailed account on how these photos were taken, see the first posting I did in this set.
