Every now and then this year I have walked out onto one of the piers at the Lower Lake at the Rudan nature reserve to photograph this view. The 18-storey apartment building Brf Blicken is changing the view of central Handen. I shot this with the silent zoom lens at maximum zoom, nine photos stitched together.

A Personal Project
At the start of this semester i got given a grid square in Stoke-On-Trent in which i could do a project on what ever i wanted, i could also change my mind, the square i had in the end was very empty just being green field, images can be seen at (on.fb.me/15muAVO),
I did enquire about changing my grid square to this one my house mate found this location on a walk and said it was very beautiful and interesting, i really wanted to take images of the location due to my heritage of my Nan and grandad AKA Pap were brought up on the boats and worked to supplying coal to factories and mainly because Pap recently passed away a couple of weeks before.
At the end of the semester i went to the location because i really wanted to take the images due to my feeling to the area, i told my nan about yeah i was taking images in stoke of the canal lovely place explained it and she told me a couple of storys about cruising up the potteries. A couple of weeks later when i go to see my nan she gets out some photos, which i normally look at when i go around to see if theres any more added or anything, she pulls out the photos which i looked at not just a week before and goes
"Is this where your on about'" See picture - (www.dropbox.com/s/x0mc5z7u5dcyjnt/img145.jpg)
I look in the background of the photo and was astonished just a week before i was at the same location.
It's brought a more close and an emotional feel to these pictures when I've been recently editing them.

A few years ago, this view from top of Ben Wyvis would have had no wind turbines. However, these days you will be lucky to find a view from Scottish Highlands without them in it ! I thought this showed the ever changing landscape whether you're a fan or not, the highlands are a-changing !

The first Bideford railway station was opened on 2 November 1855 as the terminus of the Bideford Extension Railway from Barnstaple. This was taken over by the London and South Western Railway about ten years later.
This station was resited in 1872 when the line was extended to Torrington.
Regular passenger trains from Barnstaple were withdrawn on Sat. 2 October 1965 although special trains occasionally used the station until the line was closed in 1982. After closure a railway preservation society was formed to reopen the station and part of the line. They laid over 200 yards of track in the station and collected some rolling stock and a small diesel locomotive. A train service was operated but they were then forced to close temporarily due to vandalism and a threat to build houses on the trackbed. The site is open to the public and is currently being prepared for service again.
The station buildings are privately owned and are currently empty awaiting a new use.
Recently, the station was included on the ATOC Connecting Communities report in 2009, that recommends closed lines and stations that should have a railway station. The report suggests the reopening of the Barnstaple - Bideford railway line.

Reminds me of the joke: How many social workers does it take to change a lightbulb? Ten - one to change the bulb and nine to discuss whether it's ethical... (Lots of variations - teachers, doctors etc. Here we've got mothers)
The Connect the Dots project (at ClimateDots.org) is designed to empower people to highlight the connections between extreme weather and climate change. By making those connections clear and compelling, we will help communicate a call for bold climate action to communities, the media, and policy makers at the local, national, and international level.
In Charlotte today several different environmental groups joined together in front of Bank of America to hold their Climate Dot. The Climate Dot represented bank of Americas funding of the coal industry. Bank of America is currently the largest funder of coal in the USA.

"Bebop was about change, about evolution. If anybody wants to keep creating they have to be about change." ~Miles Davis
For whatever reason today i kept thinking about change. And I came to the conclusion Sam Cooke said it best: A change is gonna come. As an adolescent I hated change and everything about it. For the life of me I couldn't understand why the things I loved, the people I loved, the circumstances I loved always somehow in someway eventually changed. When I was younger I used to think, If only I could freeze time to either prevent the inevitable from occuring, or, at the very least savor the moment a bit longer I would be able to deal with the shift... Sometimes, though I've grown, I still stumble upon such thinking. But life is about progression...about growth...about the new. I've grown to accept change for what it is, and for what it is not. Today I step a bit more easily into change, no matter how abrupt; I think because I know now without change I might not have become the person I am today, and I like him a whole lot better than the one I knew yesterday...

The British Wrestling Talent Pathway.
The pathway will still consist of two tiers for those in secondary education with Regional squads leading to selection for the GB Talent Squad. The changes come in the change of focus to time spent on the mat working on technical and tactical skills and learning what it takes to be an elite athlete.
The Regional Squads consist of U13, U15 and Cadets with training on a monthly basis between September and April. Numbers will be limited to ensure that every athlete on the squad receives focused coaching to develop and improve. Club coaches are invited to attend along with their athletes to work alongside regional and national coaches.
The GB Talent Squad, for U15 and Cadets, will meet less frequently but with a focus on more time spent on the mat at three camps across the season in October, February, and April plus a summer camp. Numbers will be limited to approximately 18 in order that National coaches can work closely with the athlete, their club and regional coaches to develop and improve.

Refugees protest the building of a airport extension on coastal lands on which they live, to promote environmental conservation and to urge politicians to pass clean energy policies.
This was one of over 7,000 climate action events taking place in in 188 countries around the world on 10/10/10 as part of “The Global Work Party.” This synchronized international event is organized by 350.org, and is expected to be the largest day of environmental activism in history.
