After the volunteers have been up on the crate in their bare feet for awhile, Zoe asks them some questions, such as how long they'd like to stay there....a year, perhaps?

Change the World, May 14, 2011. Change the World - Elizabeth Grindstaff, age 28, (in green t-shirt) visits 94 year old Mattie B. Reeves through the Change the World activities of Franklin First United Methodist Church. Grindstaff, a teacher at Independence High School, brought students with her to help with chores and to meet "Miss Maddie." During the summer Grindstaff brings Reeves MEALS ON WHEELS, but today she brought lunch and made biscuits in Miss Maddie's kitchen. A UMNS photo by Kathleen Barry.

This was such a lovely tea label to get on a sick day. :) It's now stuck to my mirror.

Zoe explains the 4 elements of humane education and how they are relevant to people wanting to help create a better world and find inner peace for themselves.

One of the most challenging aspects of sharing what we're passionate about is communicating with others compassionately. Small groups took time to practice talking about the issues that resonate with them and to get feedback from others.

Hillsboro United Methodist Church performed several service projects in our local community on Change The World Day-Sat, May 14th. It was a cold, windy day, but we had 25 volunteers painting at the park, cleaning windows at the public library, playing bingo with nursing home residents, laying concrete and cleaning the play area at the food bank and delivering candy 'survival kits to our local police and fire departments.

Foton till minne av Min Mormor Astrid Lindgren, 99 år i Mårdsjön Jämtland, Sverige. Vila i frid.

bit.ly/astrid_intervju

Ditt barnbarn Lars m familjer.

I sharing some photos of my grandma, Astrid Lindgren, who would have turned 99 years old this year. She spent her entire life living in Mårdsjön, Jämtland, Sweden.

I cherished my grandmother, Astrid. She passed away on July 3rd, 2021, on a stunning summer day. She was strong like a pine tree and resilient like a mountain birch. Now, she joins my grandpa who has been patiently waiting for her.

Dear Grandparents,

I hope this memory finds you well. I just wanted to let you know that I love and miss you both dearly. The sadness I feel is deep, but I am determined to keep moving forward toward our shared dream. I cannot wait for the day when we can be reunited.

Sending love to you both,

Lars and the rest of the family.

Portrait from the serie, world leaders

MOGO Workshop participants share some of the items they're most excited about from their MOGO Action Plans.

Zoe takes a moment to pose for a pic in front of the 7 Keys to MOGO and IHE's fabulous banner.

Is meaningful nonsense.

Sometimes you read something or see something that you don't really understand, but it really speaks to you. You may not know what it means, but you know it's meaningful,

and that it's changed you forever.

So today, I had a huge fight with Elijah. He thinks he can save the world, he doesnt want to be with me until he has. But i dont think the world needs saving. It's broken, but it doesnt need fixing. It's beautiful and wonderful and terrifying.

He thinks i'm immature and stupid and i'm not taking anything seriously.

So it's over between us, once and for all.

I feel strange and new.
