"Sometimes you just have to take the leap, and build your wings on
the way down."
"My heart was strangley warmed...."
On Wednesday, May 24, 1738, John Wesley experienced a profound
assurance of grace at a meeting at Aldersgate Street. "An assurance
was given me that he had taken away my sins, even mine, and saved me
from the law of sin and death."
In honor of the anniversary of this important moment in Methodist
history, we are offering a special discount coupon on our CHURCH MOVIE
NIGHT KIT, which contains everything you need to legally exhibit the
critically acclaimed movie WESLEY for your congregation. Even better,
the license included is a perpetual site license for your
congregation, so you can show the movie again and again to Sunday
School classes, confirmation and youth groups, without ever paying
another license fee!
Just click on the BUY NOW link below, and during the checkout
process, type the code ALDERSGATE into the Coupon Code form at the
bottom of the checkout.
This will automatically take an additional 10% off the sale price of

HEAR FROM OTHERS WHO HAVE PURCHASED THE LICENSED MOVIE KIT:

new understanding of our Weslyan roots. - Will Clark, First United
Methodist Church Williston, FL (via Facebook)
"It was well worth the effort to purchase the church
license...everyone really enjoyed the movie and learning more about
John Wesley's life." - Angie Jordan, First United Methodist Church,
Mocksville, NC
"Excellent movie, very well done and powerfully demonstrates Wesley's
struggle between works and grace. The scene where his heart is
"strangely warmed" is very moving. Our folks really enjoyed it. Good
job!"
- S.D. Smit, University Baptist Church, New Mexico
"Well acted and directed, "Wesley" vividly shows the struggle which
John endured in trying to reconcile good works with salvation by
grace. Those who saw the movie in Manchester enjoyed it very much! I
believe all Christians, especially those of the Wesleyan tradition,
will benefit greatly by viewing this movie. See the movie!" - Mike
Giffin Manchester FUMC, Manchester, Tennessee

As part of the workshop segment regarding making connections about the impact of our choices, these volunteers had to tie lots of tiny knots in a short amount of time, simulating the situation of child laborers who are forced to create rugs for market by tying knots by hand for 10 or more hours at a time.
The Bible of Capitalism. Burn it.
Burn it to end the class war that is being foisted upon us and attempts to divide us all.

A cartoon in reaction to Charles Schwab (yes, that Charles Schwab) not toe-ing the Capitalism party line. He wrote, "Some people call it socialism, others call it Bolshevikism. It means but one thing and that is that the man who labors with his hands yet does not possess property is the one who is going to dominate the affairs of the world"
Let us dominate.
(Note the century of Russia as a way to deter Socialist thought)
(Not also the "rpoperty typo" in Schwab's note - meaning the engraver reversed two letters when taking the drawing to metal plate)
