Mini Robotic Laparoscopic Surgery
50-year-old Netra (name changed) was fed up with the lower abdominal pain & abnormal bleeding she had been tolerating for the past year, owing to multiple fibroids in her uterus. She had been postponing surgery as she was aware it was a major procedure and she dreaded going into surgery owing to a bad earlier experience.
Total removal of her uterus along with the ovaries was the best option at her age, especially since she had a history of 3 Caesarian section deliveries. While losing her uterus and ovaries didn’t really matter, as her family was complete, it nevertheless was an emotional decision to make as it meant a loss of her womanhood.

Organizers show off their 350 shirts to promote environmental awareness as a solution to climate change and to urge politicians to pass clean energy policies.
This was one of over 7,000 climate action events taking place in in 188 countries around the world on 10/10/10 as part of “The Global Work Party.” This synchronized international event is organized by 350.org, and is expected to be the largest day of environmental activism in history.

I managed to get lost today. I got the No. 130 bus with the intention of visiting St. Annes Park but I did not know the the bus route had been changed due to extensive roadworks. The bus took a different route which bypassed the park. I got off the bus when I realised that the bus would not be going near the entrance that I normally use but I walked in the wrong direction for about a mile before I realised that I was going the wrong way. I eventually found the park but then my problem was how to get home.
The brothers Arthur and Benjamin Lee Guinness built up an estate of nearly 123.75 hectares from 1835 onwards in the Clontarf/Raheny area and called the estate St. Anne's after the Holy Well of the same name on the lands. Sir Arthur Edward Guinness (Lord Ardilaun) was the person most responsible for expanding and developing the estate and gardens and planted evergreen (Holm) oaks and pines along the main avenue and estate boundaries.
Lord and Lady Ardilaun had no children and the estate passed to their nephew Bishop Plunkett in the 1920s. In 1937, he decided he could no longer maintain such a large estate and negotiations with the Corporation resulted in the house and estate being sold to the Corporation for approximately ÂŁ55,000 in 1939.

Since the end of August, this squirrel had been growing his ear-tufts, and was moulting into his more uniform winter coat of chocolate brown. In the summer, his tail had been chocolate brown, but his head and body the more orange tone seen, here, on his legs.

Winter melts into spring. The clocks tumble forward. A few minutes of sunlight is added to each day.
A one-year-old is on the cusp of morphing into a two-year-old. Although, when you ask her how old she is she consistently states that she is four.
Constant change is the only consistency in life.
It feels just like yesterday that I met this girl and we stayed up the whole night talking, only we glanced at the calendar and ten years have flown by.
We met with friends yesterday from that era at the Museum of Nature. Friends from a time where pop culture analysis, beer and karaoke, endless fun were the staples of an academic-wanna be life. Some of us went on to pursue and finish our PhDs. Others timed out and still haven't finished the MA.
I wrote and defended my words and then I opted to take my life in another direction. I'm a lapsed academic.
As we ambled through the museum with four kids in tow - three of theirs and one of our three - it was like no time had passed at all. Things were the same because they were easy. Things were different because there's a whole bunch of experiential stuff that amasses over time. So much has changed but that's not the kind of thing you can cover in two hours while you keep an eye on your kids, parent your kids, while only making it through the dinosaur exhibit.
