We are in the midth of the sixth mass extinction of plants and animals. Species are dying off faster than nature can even create them, and it's entirely the fault of humans living an overdeveloped unsustainable lifestyle. This world is a beautiful place, however a change is needed for the survival of all.

一.活动的基本背景情况：
在2010年的下半年，CYCAN与350.org、GSF（绿色大学生论坛）、AIESEC（国际经济学商学学生联合会）共同发起了“点绿中国（Great Green Initiative）”，这是一场由青年人组织发起应对气候变化的大型活动。旨在通过青年人号召大家一同关注气候变化，并采取积极的方式应对气候变化。2010年10月10日，我们将在多个省份不同的地区开展活动，让我们共同喊出“点绿中国，让我们行动起来”的口号，用自己的行动为环保事业做一点贡献。
二.活动的优势：
1.活动的地点和时间比较得当，我们选择的是学校最大的食堂（汀香园）前广场，时间是在中午的11点左右，这个时间段学生都过来吃饭，有较大的人流量，为活动的顺利开展提供了条件。
2.人员分配的比较合理，人人各司其职，使得现场的活动都有条不紊的进行。另外，协会成员都有比较多的活动经验，使得现场的活动秩序都比较良好。
3.活动地点大一新生比较多，他们有更高的活动激情，使得活动开展更具有活力。
4.活动的前期准备做的还不错，资料都提前预备好了，使得活动的开展更加的顺利。
三.不足及改善措施：
1.活动的前期宣传还不足够，应该加大前期的宣传力度，包括：海报、横幅等各类宣传资料的整理及张贴。
2.活动的范围还不够大，所以我们应该尽量扩大活动的范围，这样也可以扩大活动的影响范围，使得活动更能体现出它应有的价值。
3.活动的开展主要是能够通过活动让更多的人认识到一个活动所要表现的内容，让大家对此都有一个清醒的认识，所以活动的开展要有实效性。
四.活动经验：
活动的开展在受到部分同学的好评的同时也有不少的埋怨声，所以每次开展活动要尽量大众化（意思就是通过一个很现实的、很贴近生活方式来表达活动所要表达的内容），以便让更多的人接受。这些经验使得我们在今后开展活动的道路上会越来越顺，越搞越好，活动越来越有意义。
五.活动取得的效果：
这次活动让更多的人了解到了我们国家甚至是整个世界所存在的部分的环境危机问题，让我们这一代有更多的有志青年加入到环保的行列，为环保献一点力量。在一定的程度上也扩大了大学生的视野，丰富了大家的课外活动，让大家对环保事业有更加正确的认识——这不是很伟大的，但也是比较伟大的，因为全世界都在关注这个话题。

This really is the year of street photography. This July in London there will be a big street photography festival called The London Street Photography Festival. Catchy title. There's an open competition to anyone around the world to enter a street photograph too. Lots going on. I can't wait to visit it.
Kids for Tigers celebrated 10/10/10 to mark the importance of such open
spaces in cities. Mumbai has a number of open spaces like the Sanjay Gandhi
National Park, Uran Wetlands, Maharashtra Nature Park, Priyadarshini Park
and many more. Seven Kids for Tigers schools - Udayachal School -
Vikhroli, Shishuvan
School - Matunga, Jamnabai Narsee School - Juhu, Campion School - Fort, Anjuman
Islam School - Bombay Central, Gopi Birla Memorial School - Walkeshwar, St.
Columba's Girls School - Gamdevi - from across the city put up a brilliant
show by performing street plays and displaying placards to spread awareness
among visitors. The event concluded with the kids making a 350 formation.

Organizers show off their 350 shirts to promote environmental awareness as a solution to climate change and to urge politicians to pass clean energy policies.
This was one of over 7,000 climate action events taking place in in 188 countries around the world on 10/10/10 as part of “The Global Work Party.” This synchronized international event is organized by 350.org, and is expected to be the largest day of environmental activism in history.

Had to change into a skirt for the evening. I generally don't go bare-legged in a skirt, but I was running late.
Same top as the daytime. (S3759)
The skirt is S5914. The pattern envelope shows this in various suiting fabrics, but one day, on the wall of the fabric shop, there was this skirt in denim, and it looked great. Mom and I immediately bought the pattern and some denim to make it in. (I don't think she made hers yet.) I even did the gold top-stitching on the seams and hem, like you do for jeans.
This one is still in print, and is one of those skirts that just fits so well, you want to wear it all the time. Too bad I can't wear denim to work.
I have never seen this happen. It's really sorta life changing to see a big truck dump molten metal down the side of a hill.

The number 350 in a girl arm!
The name of our event was "More recycling, lower emissions of CO2". We maked
a big 350 using bottles of glass. But first, we got to find the bottles. The
Community of "La Concepción" was the people that help us to recycle all the
bottles of glass from them houses. I go to send you pictures of each stages
of this beautiful project. Is important to say that the bottles recycled
will be sold to the recycling factory and the money we will give to the
community and with this way, teach to the people the important part of
recycle.

Since the end of August, this squirrel had been growing his ear-tufts, and was moulting into his more uniform winter coat of chocolate brown. In the summer, his tail had been chocolate brown, but his head and body the more orange tone seen, here, on his legs.
Despite the blistering cold hundreds of DC residents turned out to demand
an end to fossil fuels!

CHANGED communicates a positive message of hope in a way young people can understand and become inspired.
