According to Tantric Yoga, chakras are centers of spiritual energy located in particular places in the human body and associated with different kinds of feelings and perceptions. The way to tap into them is taught in both Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism. In this 5x7 ink drawing I have used non-traditional colors and numbers of petals and have included only four of the seven chakras (from bottom to top: sexual energy, mental power [the solar plexus], compassion [the heart], and spiritual intuition [the "third eye"]). My drawing is not a map of the chakras but an illustration of the idea of the human body as the home of different kinds of spiritual energy which can be made to blossom under the right conditions.

Sarvatobhadra Chakra (Sanskrit: सर्वतोभद्र) in Hindu astrology (abbrev. SBC) is a unique technique for prediction based on the Nakshatras. It is an ancient system because it takes into account Abhijit nakshatra which is now not referred to in matters pertaining to methods that are generally employed for making astrological predictions. Janardan Harji in his Mansagari has described it as - संप्रवक्ष्यामि चक्रं त्रिलोक्यदीपिकम् - the trust-worthy quickly-revealing Trilokyadeepika Chakra.The term, Sarvatobhadra, derived from Sarva (सर्व) meaning – all, and Bhadra (भद्र)) meaning – good or auspicious, means overall auspiciousness. Abhijit nakshatra is located between Uttarashada and Sravana, it is the last quarter of Uttarashada and the first half of Sravana nakshatra.

This painting was inspired by my Spirit Guides like most of my paintings. It may stir the viewer to see what needs to be thrown away or torn down and whatever remains can provide us with an opportunity to recreate ourselves. There are many doors we walk through in our lives and this painting reminds us to close the door behind. Freeing us to do more things, which may help us to understand our choices and visions. Grounding us without unbalancing our personalities, helping us to awaken a Spiritual understanding, which can help to transform our fears and accept our paths, whatever they may be.
