Anyway, this picture is an artifact of my mom's forays into modeling.
Here she is…my surprise gift from Joyuz.
Joyuz knew how much I wanted a Momoko and what difficult a time I was having getting one I liked.
So, as a surprise, she sent me this beauty and I named her Camille Joy.
She is a bit homesick. So, Reforma gave her some bracelets, American Girl’s puppy fell in love with her and adopted her, Tiny Kitty got her some tea, and Realtor Barbie gave up her vintage lawn chair.
Genie, Genie, Genie, how can I ever thank you? I adore her.

As soon as I posed Selene (the Black Queen), I could hear her saying, "Is there really something you want to discuss? I'm not particularly accommodating." I'm not sure who the skull belongs to, but I think it's definitely a warning to whomever has requested this meeting with her at the Hellfire Club.

Juan-les-Pins in Antibes on the French Riviera. It was late in the afternoon by the time we got here. No one seemed to be swimming. A few boys of about high-school age were standing in the water having their pictures taken with their topless girlfriends -- or was it the topless girls who were having pictures taken with their boyfriends? Either way, I missed a shot of them.
Our photography club held a model night and this young lady (Bethany) was dressed as a 1920's "Flapper". The background is from stock.

Today Kathleen got the final serious piece of furniture for our new home - a chaise lounge. It's now the lovliest place to read in the apartment. I foresee many frustrated sighs as one person comes into the bedroom to see the other already occupying this space.

As the shadows began to lengthen, people left the beach. The restaurants retrieved and stacked their lounges, chairs, umbrellas, and tables. The next morning they'd put them all out again.
This is the remake of the cake I made 2 weeks ago...It was actually for today and I am super pleased with the result this time round....Much much better...Very special thanks to Taya for all her advice etc.
I even made myself a quilting tool....first time used!

Around the world in four seasons. I've been so excited to finish this edit! I am not even going to admit the number of hours spent in Photoshop trying to get this the way I wanted.
I'm so glad that Mark and Ellen were up for this project. It took us nearly a year to complete! Every 3 months... dragging that chaise lounge out into the field at Al Sabo... worth it! :-)
Our hotel in Puerto Ayora had sea stairs going from its back patio down to the harbor. I was sitting on the wall bordering these stairs when this sea lion came up out of the water, pushed open the wooden gate, passed about 2 feet from me, barked in my face (I had been sitting quietly, but quickly retreated!), swam the length of the hotel pool, hauled out at the other end, clambered up on a wooden chaise, and went to sleep. Our guide says it's most likely a young female.
Yes, that's a young marine iguana too.

Yes, there were a few unclad bathers there that day, but it really wasn't very hot out either - weatherly speaking.
While my wife lazed in the sun on Orient Beach, three miles to the east on the Atlantic side of Saint Martin, I took pictures of Grand Case on the Caribbean side.

On a lovely very small, meandering two lane backroad connecting Tehachapi, California to Lake Elizabeth is Paul deFonville's lifelong obsession in creating a Cowboy Museum....in a series of ramshackle cargo containers Paul has created little tableau's and assembled memorabilia about the cowboy life. Very few people ever visit but he has been there for some twenty years. He is a very nice man and will talk your ears off....
This image: Paul with his wife Virginia who used to be a teacher or librarian at a nearby rural school. When I asked if I could take a snap of the two of them Paul said he wanted to get his rifle as part of their 'official' portrait. Virginia fell recently and broke her hip which is why she has the safety restraint on her wheelchair. They are both in their early eighties and about as real as it gets.....

Cuba in the Winter. This is the place Canadians, with bikini in hand, flock too. Feel the warmth of the sun on exposed skin and the heat of the sand between the toes. Lounging in your bikini on the beach, sun tanning, drinking the all inclusive booze and listening to the music of the rhythmic waves. Good bye tanning saloon, hello Cuba. Time to get a bronzing vacation tan.
