Last autumn after a visit to Algonquin Provinicial Park, in what I refer to as the near north of the vast province of Ontario, we stopped at The Famous Algonquin Gourmet Butter Tart shop in Maynooth. Outside were chainsaw carvings; inside were ... well ... butter tarts.
