Inside the chainsaw museum at Wheeler's Pancake House, McDonalds Corners, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.
Wood from scrap bits of wood drawn from the 1916 Coronation Court building's trim. Copper pipe from the building's plumbing. And my name is engraved on an "implement of destruction", the quintessential Chainsaw Carpenter tool. I'm told by my Master that the right edge was specially sharpened should I need it.
James T. Link chainsaw carver. James had a booth set up at the Rochester, NY public market. All of these objects you see were carved by James with a chainsaw. We discussed the type of equipment he uses and chainsaw safety. He had on what looked like bib overalls but they had a special lining in them. If one was to cut into them with a running chainsaw, a special type of lining would immediately jamb up the saw and stop the blade. He has had it happen. He says the lining looks like spider webbing. I think it is Kevlar, whatever it is saves the flesh.
