Special Olympics Inc.'s CEO and Chairman Tim Shriver led introductions of a group of interested representatives from organizations attending the Clinton Global Initiative meeting. The Golisano Foundation announced the day before that it is committing $12 million to the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes program. Shriver explained the background and mission of the program, which provides health care screening clinics to athletes with intellectual disabilities.

TURNING DOWN THE HEAT: HOW CITIES CAN PREPARE FOR EXTREME TEMPERATURES
Extreme heat is causing widespread negative health impacts, especially for the poorest and most vulnerable communities. Cities, as ground zero for the nexus between human health and climate change, are taking action to mitigate its impact and adapt to a warmer future. 2022 was the sixth warmest year since global records began in 1880, and temperatures in 20 percent of the world’s most populated cities are expected to rise by more than 4 degrees Celsius by 2050. Extreme heat is negatively impacting health, especially in the poorest and most vulnerable communities, and it is reaching disaster levels, causing more deaths each year than any other weather-related event in some parts of the world. Municipalities and health care communities in some of the hottest cities are developing and implementing adaptation, awareness, and resilience strategies to address the negative health impacts and reduce urban heat island effects as temperatures rise. Some driving causes of climate change, such as the built environment, housing, and transportation, can also provide potential solutions to reducing heat and improving health outcomes.

THE BASE OF THE ECONOMIC PYRAMID
As First Lady Rosalynn Carter said, “There are only four kinds of people in the world — those that have been caregivers, those that are caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers.” The fastest growing sector of work in the world is in the care economy – a patchwork of formal and informal roles spanning childcare to elder and disability care that support over a billion people. These workers help our communities thrive and make up the base of our economic pyramid – but this growth is built on the persistent undervaluing and frequent exploitation of both paid and unpaid care workers who are predominantly women. We must find solutions to better support, pay, and empower those in the care economy – from community-driven support systems to broad, systemic policy changes. Addressing these challenges can create more economic opportunities for women, promote dignified ways to care for aging populations, support brain development and early-childhood learning, and address a growing mental health crisis exacerbated by poverty, isolation, and loneliness. The foundation of our economy needs to work for everyone, not just those at the top.

"The upper chapel is reached by narrow stairways in the towers from lower level. The structure is simple; a rectangle 33 by 10.7 meters (108 by 35 ft), with four traverses and a apse at the east end with seven bays of windows. The most striking features are the walls, which appear to be almost entirely made of stained glass; a total of 670 square meters (7,200 sq ft) of glass, not counting the rose window at the west end. This was a clever illusion created by the master builder; each vertical support of the windows is composed of seven slender columns, which disguise their full thickness. In addition, the walls and windows are braced on the exterior by two belts of iron chain, one at the mid-level of the bays and the other at the top of the lancets; these are hidden behind the bars holding the stained glass. Additional metal supports are hidden under the eaves of the roof to brace the windows against the wind or other stress. Furthermore, the windows of the nave are slightly higher than the windows in the apse (15.5 meters, 51 ft compared with 13.7 meters, 45 ft), making the chapel appear longer than it actually is.
There are two small alcoves set into the walls on the third traverse of the chapel, with archivolts or arches richly decorated above with painting and sculpture of angels. These were the places where the King and Queen worshipped during religious services; the King on the north side, the Queen on the south.
The Sainte-Chapelle (French: [sɛ̃t ʃapɛl]; English: Holy Chapel) is a royal chapel in the Gothic style, within the medieval Palais de la Cité, the residence of the Kings of France until the 14th century, on the Île de la Cité in the River Seine in Paris, France.
Construction began sometime after 1238 and the chapel was consecrated on 26 April 1248. The Sainte-Chapelle is considered among the highest achievements of the Rayonnant period of Gothic architecture. It was commissioned by King Louis IX of France to house his collection of Passion relics, including Christ's Crown of Thorns – one of the most important relics in medieval Christendom. This was later held in the nearby Notre-Dame Cathedral until the 2019 fire, which it survived.
Along with the Conciergerie, Sainte-Chapelle is one of the earliest surviving buildings of the Capetian royal palace on the Île de la Cité. Although damaged during the French Revolution and restored in the 19th century, it has one of the most extensive 13th-century stained glass collections anywhere in the world.
The chapel is now operated as a museum by the French Centre of National Monuments, along with the nearby Conciergerie, the other remaining vestige of the original palace.
The 1st arrondissement of Paris (Ier arrondissement) is one of the 20 arrondissements of the capital city of France. In spoken French, this arrondissement is colloquially referred to as le premier (the first). It is governed locally together with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th arrondissement, with which it forms the 1st sector of Paris (Paris-Centre).
Also known as Louvre, the arrondissement is situated principally on the right bank of the River Seine. It also includes the west end of the Île de la Cité. The locality is one of the oldest areas in Paris, the Île de la Cité having been the heart of the city of Lutetia, conquered by the Romans in 52 BC, while some parts on the right bank (including Les Halles) date back to the early Middle Ages.
It is the least populated of the city's arrondissements and one of the smallest by area, with a land area of only 1.83 km2 (0.705 sq. miles, or 451 acres). A significant part of the area is occupied by the Louvre Museum and the Tuileries Gardens. The Forum des Halles is the largest shopping mall in Paris. Much of the remainder of the arrondissement is dedicated to business and administration.
Paris (French pronunciation: [paʁi]) is the capital and most populous city of France, with an estimated population of 2,150,271 residents as of 2020, in an area of 105 square kilometres (41 square miles). Since the 17th century, Paris has been one of Europe's major centres of finance, diplomacy, commerce, fashion, science and arts. The City of Paris is the centre and seat of government of the Île-de-France, or Paris Region, which has an estimated official 2020 population of 12,278,210, or about 18 percent of the population of France. The Paris Region had a GDP of €709 billion ($808 billion) in 2017. According to the Economist Intelligence Unit Worldwide Cost of Living Survey in 2018, Paris was the second most expensive city in the world, after Singapore, and ahead of Zürich, Hong Kong, Oslo and Geneva. The city is a major railway, highway and air-transport hub served by two international airports: Paris–Charles de Gaulle (the second busiest airport in Europe) and Paris–Orly. Opened in 1900, the city's subway system, the Paris Métro, serves 5.23 million passengers daily; it is the second busiest metro system in Europe after the Moscow Metro. Gare du Nord is the 24th busiest railway station in the world, but the first located outside Japan, with 262 million passengers in 2015 Paris is especially known for its museums and architectural landmarks: the Louvre was the most visited art museum in the world in 2019, with 9.6 million visitors. The Musée d'Orsay, Musée Marmottan Monet, and Musée de l'Orangerie are noted for their collections of French Impressionist art, the Pompidou Centre Musée National d'Art Moderne has the largest collection of modern and contemporary art in Europe, and the Musée Rodin and Musée Picasso exhibit the works of two noted Parisians. The historical district along the Seine in the city centre is classified as a UNESCO Heritage Site, and popular landmarks in the city centre included the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris, on the Île de la Cité, now closed for renovation after the 15 April 2019 fire. Summer 2019 I did a solo cycling tour across Europe through 12 countries over the course of 3 months. I began my adventure in Edinburgh, Scotland and finished in Florence, Italy cycling 8,816 km. During my trip I took 47,000 photos.

O princípio "Universalidade" foi apresentado por Sunil Abraham, diretor executivo do Centro para Internet e Sociedade (CIS India) e por Lêda Spelta, consultora de acessibilidade e sócia fundadora da Acesso Digital no dia 23 de setembro de 2015, no Centro de Convenções Rebouças, em São Paulo.

O princípio "Neutralidade da rede" foi apresentado por Barbara van Schewick, Diretora do Centro para Internet e Sociedade da Escola de Direito de Stanford, e Christopher Marsden, professor de Direito na Universidade de Sussex, Reino Unido, no dia 13 de outubro de 2015, no Hotel Blue Tree Premium, em São Paulo.
