Marriage certificate of Andrew Pullar and Margaret Beggs, married in Deseronto, Ontario, on April 23, 1879.
"Marriage Certificate
'Whom God hath joined together let not man put asunder'
To all whom it may Concern
I hereby certify that Andrew Pullar of the Village of Mill Point (Deseronto) County of Hastings and Province of Ontario in the Dominion of Canada, and Margaret Beggs of the Village of Mill Point County of Hastings were joined together in Marriage this twenty-third day of April in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine by me. Robt. Jno. [Robert John] Craig Minister of the Deseronto Presbyterian Church."
Andrew Pullar and his wife had left Deseronto for the USA by 1880, as they appear in the census listings for Austin, Minnesota in that year. Andrew was listed as a railroad fireman.
The certificate was mounted on a card, which can be seen at 2010.10 (2). The certificate itself is decorated with birds, a palm tree and bamboo.

Violations discovered on board

On Monday, water police officers found violations of environmental regulations on board the multi-purpose ship "Amadeus Diamond" (IMO 9201968) with home port Druten in the port of Glückstadt. According to the police, when checking the waste water holding tank, it was noticed that 700 liters of untreated waste water were being discharged into the Wadden Sea. There was no processing plant. Bailouts have been set against the chief engineer and the captain. well
