Ce tableau, qui date de janvier 2008, fut un des premiers d'une longue série qui se poursuit encore aujourd'hui... La petite église sur la colline est inspirée par celle de Mwnt, dans le Ceredigion.

J'aime la fraîcheur qui se dégage de ce tableau : à ce moment-là, j'expérimentais encore beaucoup les techniques et les formes... Aujourd'hui, il m'est beaucoup plus difficile d'innover, car j'ai pris des habitudes, voire une routine, en peinture!
