The Drawing Room of Castell Coch (Welsh for 'Red Castle').
The castle is located near the village of Tongwynlais in South East Wales and overlooks the city of Cardiff.
The Castle was rebuilt for the Marquis of Bute in 1890 on the ruins of a medieval castle. Somewhat Disneyesque in appearance, it apparently closely resembles the original design.
This shot is 3 RAW exposures, 2 stops apart, converted to 16-bit tif and tone-mapped in Photomatix. Believe it or not, the colours on this HDR shot are completely realistic!
The lower ceiling on the edge of this store starts over aisle 2 here (with "aisle" 1 being the produce/liquor department), which suggests that it may once have been part of the produce department. More notable is the low-clearance aisle marker used for aisle 2, which looks surprisingly good!

Despite the Equal Pay Act 45 years ago, women still earnon average 18% less than men in Britain today. The difference in pay between men and women remains the clearest and most dramatic example of inequality for women.

The harmonious interior equals the exterior in its incomparable beauty. Stunning tracery windows create an ethereal lighting effect in the sanctuary. The cathedral has more than 1,800 square metres of stained-glass windows dating from the 13th to the 20th centuries. The oldest windows are the rose windows and those in the middle choir chapels. Also notice the magnificent 15th- to 16th-century choir stalls, which were carved by Flemish craftsmen. On the north side of the cathedral is a beautiful cloister in the Plateresque style, built in the 14th century and altered in the 16th. The frescoes in the cloister were created by Nicolás Francés. The cathedral museum collection is arranged in the rooms around the cloister. One of the most extensive collections of its kind, the museum displays many exceptional treasures of religious art. Highlights include a 10th-century edition of the Bible, the Castilian and Flemish triptychs, and the assortment of Romanesque art, with around 60 sculptures from the 12th and 13th centuries.http://www.planetware.com/tourist-attractions-/leon-e-castl-leon.htm
The Cathedral’s interior is a summary of the Medieval theologians’ concept of the world, presided over by the Creator’s Blessing. The windows illustrate three conceptual levels: typical vegetable motifs such as oak and vine leaves; heraldic subjects (windows of the triforium) and Saints, Kings and Prophets. www.leon.es/Visit/Monuments_of_the_City/The_Essentials/Ca...

The ceiling of the 203 foot long nave is covered with Victorian paintings as a kind of Jesse tree, tracing the ancestry of Christ. It was the work of two artists, Henry Styleman Le Strange, who painted the first six panels (counting from the west), and Thomas Gambier Parry, who painted the last six - you can observe a change of style between the sixth and seventh panels.

For TPF weekly challenge "The Unexpected Composition."
Here are the parameters constraints for the challenge:
1 - Pick a focal length - can be anything you like but you cannot change mid challenge. If you pick 45mm on your 18-55 then you must stay at 45mm.
2 - Pick a subject - anything you want
3 - Pick a spot to stand - you cannot move away from that place. You can squat or lean or bend but you cannot move to a different spot
4 - Now shoot 25 different compositions of your subject from that spot. Yes that's right, 25. Sorry film people...
I awakened the morning of the 4th looking up at our ceiling fan.
Grabbed the X100F with the teleconverter adapter that essentially makes it a nifty fifty.
Here are 25 of the 47 exposures I shot...
