I've been wanting to shoot one of these for a long time. The other night I went out and got one - but too much noise on the shot. So I went back to same location the following evening. Straight out of camera!

TC&W returns to Hopkins with 14 loads and 104 empties from UP. They’re running through the former M&StL/CNW Cedar Lake Yard in Minneapolis, now a bike path and soon to be light rail.

In this southeast looking view the Rattlesnake anticlinal structure is exposed in the Shoshone Canyon wall. This fold form in response to a deep thrust fault. The ice covered Buffalo Bill Reservoir is visible at the bottom of the photo.
Three more for my count. I got this Cedar Waxwing, a Yellow Warbler, and a Turkey Vulture yesterday.

Cedar Waxwings are creamy yellow below, have light brown colouring on their heads and upper backs, grey on their lower backs and wings and a black mask across the top of their bills that extends around their eyes. They also have feathers on their heads that form a crest. They have a bright yellow band at the end of their tails. Sometimes you can see a thin red strip on the edge of their secondary wing feathers.

This was my first sighting of these beautiful birds. Two or three of them were on the magnolia tree outside my window, during a drizzle. They were drinking rainwater off of the leaves.
Cedar Mountain which is on the south end of the Rattlesnake Anyicline lies at the center of the photo. The snowcapped mountain on the left side is Jim Mountain in the Absaroka Range.The hogbacks in the foreground are part of the Horse Center Anticline near Cody, Wyoming.
