In neuen Farben präsentierte sich die CD Baureihe 380 011 mit dem EC 101 "Moravia" (Katowice - Wien Hbf), heute Vormittag in Wien Praterkai.

As we set out on the evening to shoot, with the van full of wardrobe for the band, and a few props, we didn't have any firm ideas where we were going. Urban was the theme...and nothing too trite. We found this in the downtown Orlando area with new chemical tubes and new concrete...and the walls hadn't been put up yet...and no "no trespessing" signs...even though, in Rock and Roll, not sure if that would have mattered :-}. When I saw the highlights clipping in the white, overcast sky through the black tubes, and contrasts...at that moment, I believed I had the "shot" we were looking for. Post shot tones and an overcast of "Amber" included.
The RSL - Rolling Stock Lease locomotive, a Siemens Vectron MS (193 984-2 D-RAILL, sub type A01-11q), is captured at work while on hire to České dráhy (ČD). The locomotive, named "Anička," is leading the EC 240 "Košičan" service, traveling from Košice to Praha hl.n. (Prague Main Station).
Three of my recently found CD-151. All were found along the former Rock Island in Iowa. The most recent peice, in Steel Blue, is on the right. This style of insulator was produced between 1880 and 1910 for use in telegraph distribution.
Time to head out for some food and cocktails in a couple of new (to me) places in Brighton with friends.

When I arrived at the meeting the maintenence men for the grounds were still there.[That only happens about once a year BTW.] There truck and trailer took up most of the smaller parking lot where us Tgirls park for our meeting so I parked out in back. Gina was still in her car and had just found a spot left in the smaller lot earlier, when she saw me drive by she also went into the back lot also
I was fully dressed. but she only had her makeup done and had to go inside to change.[into tinkerbell].
I went to the area you see here and set up my tripod and started taking pics in the meantime.
Gina came to the window inside the building after dressing and was pointing out back, I could here an engine running so I figured they were finishing mowing out back.
However that wasn't the case, it was a man with a leaf blower walking down the sidewalk along the building.
I kept taking pics because the building muffled that he was getting closer and then, he turned the corner which is just to my right in this pic, and then it was HELLO!!!!!
I gave a weak little wave and smile.
He was more suprised than I was since I at least knew that he was out here.
He only stopped for a second and then just kept on leaf blowing. A true professional.
I don't know if I was read or not, but I am sure that he is telling this story to his friends too.
I was experimenting with my Tamron 90mm macro lens and sprayed water onto a CD. The drops were backlit by 3 coloured torches. It kind of looks to me like it could be a new galaxy in an episode of Star Trek hence the title. :-)
This is a sequence of 23 images which were then focus stacked in photoshop. Processing this took ages on my Fujitsu-Siemens M7400 laptop. I definitely need an upgrade. :-D

Personalmente mi fa sempre piacere essere salutato da un macchinista quando mi vede intento a ritrarre il suo treno. Ricordo che in passato era un gesto comune: spesso il macchinista si affacciava al finestrino anche solo per essere immortalato, fiero di condurre quel convoglio.
