I consider myself to be quite a big fan of Matchbox so was quite surprised to realise when I bought this Porsche Cayenne Turbo model the other day that the casting is actually nearly 10 years old! I can't believe i've never seen it before!

This appears to be the latest version in a nice deep red metallic colour with great detailing and fashionable black alloy effect wheels.

Mint and boxed.

The Cayenne Turbo is the fastest car in his class, the best I think. A beautiful car business but very athletic, a great combination!

Realtoy Porsche Cayenne, one of their earlier licensed castings when they decided to go legit. Almost too well detailed and accurate for their own good considering their bargain prices at the time!

Years ago the idea of a Porsche badged SUV would have sent shivers down the spines of purists but time has told us the World was indeed ready for a series of them such has been the success of the Cayenne and its smaller brother the Macan. Toy makers of all descriptions soon brought out their own 1/64 versions of the Cayenne including of course Matchbox. This absolutely stunning metallic maroon version appeared back in 2013 and for the time being appears to have been the last recolour of it so maybe its due for another one soon. This version was a mainstay on Poundland pegs probably right up until 2015 but I actually found this one back in July 2016 in a small Northern department store chain called Boyes. They have their own toy department selling the usual Chinese off brand fodder but also have a small selection of HW and MBX which are usually at least two or more years old probably because they arn't priced particularly competitively and not a natural destination if you are diecast hunting. I'm glad I managed to get another one of these though as the casting itself dates back to a golden era of Matchbox with its unabashed realism and first rate quality. The styling is absolutely spot on, detailing top notch and that paint finish is a joy to behold. Mint and boxed.

This years Matchbox Case H is more about recolours of existing castings rather than showcasing many genuinely new releases, not the most exciting assortment though always happy to see new colours given to their Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

Bringing the Cayenne concept up to date modelling the third generation and being Matchbox in a totally factory stock appearance. This brand new recolour has a really dark but super glossy metallic purple finish applied in a flawless fashion; detailing to front and rear is expected and delivered.

I grew some cayenne peppers this year because I love love love red pepper flakes on my food. I sprinkle them on everything!!! I figured I try to grow some of my own instead of buying them. What a success. This is my first batch that ripened and I'll have a few more. I should get enough to last me all winter long! I'm dehydrating the cayenne's in a dryer since the air here is a little humid, I'll be grinding them to make red pepper flakes.
