With no sight of anything new Matchbox wise in the UK despite the number of new official stockists I took full advantage of being in France to get my Matchbox fix! Various retailers stocked everything from normal basic mainlines to Moving Parts and Collectors though only one stocks totally up to date batches and in Power Grabs boxes and thats Action.
Just 1.29 Euros which is equivalent to just 1.00 Pounds gets you this fully licensed Porsche Cayenne Turbo detailed to high standards front and rear plus a classy metallic blue paint finish.
One of several found at this retailer.

Marzo 2016.
I couldn't resist getting another one of these super glossy looking Matchbox Porsce Cayenne models from my local Poundworld store the other day. My usual haunts often struggle to supply newer Matchbox models in any quantity but at the moment both my local pound stores have them in abundance. This maroon coloured one is the latest variant and has thankfully been through the tampo machine! Mint and boxed.
Siku still carry on making heavyweight diecast models which feel twice as well made as the competition. Most have opening features such as this Porsche Cayenne Turbo with nice detailing too. They arn't as readily available as when I was younger but thankfully my local Toyland store has a good selection though somewhat overpriced. Mint and boxed.
Another very kind charity shop found donation to my collection by Mikaela and probably the only source these days at finding this once very popular brand. Its not as though Realtoy don't exist anymore, its simply because most of our retailers abandoned their products in favour of cheap and nasty HTI generics at the budget end of the market. Tesco were probably the last major retailer to dispense with Realtoy and its almost certain where this later Police liveried Porsche Cayenne originated from.
I'm certain we are going to see a lot more of this casting but for the time being this new Porsche Cayenne Turbo makes its debut in the latest Germany Series.
Gleaming metallic black paint finish gives it a touch of class as well as plenty of front and rear tampo detailing. Despite initial appearance it does possess an interior.

Cayenne is one of my favorite boarders and he really lives up to his name. We have a tenuous understanding - I feed him and he doesn't try to eat me.
The main photo is a close up of him in his carrier, the picture below shows the context. The top picture isn't cropped, just zoomed in more closely.
This really must be seen enlarged and on black.
I am pretty dang proud of how this burger turned out! I looked up some basic burger recipes and then added some kick!
INGREDIENTS:
1lb Hamburger Meat
1 Onion, Sweet
1/2 cup Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
1 large Egg
1/2 tsp Ground Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp Hot Sauce
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
a couple dashes of ground black pepper to taste
Note: Salt is purposefully left out to make them low sodium. I think they turned out great without it, but if you are obsessed with salt in your food you may want to add it.
DIRECTIONS:
Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix well with your hands until combined. Oil or spray a pan on medium heat, cook burgers until done to your liking. Medium cooked burgers took around 5 minutes with a flip in the middle. Put on a bun with cheese and condiments or however you like a burger!
When I originally made this recipe I forgot the Worcestershire, but I think a tablespoon would be a good amount. They turned out fantastic without it, but you could tell they would have been perfect with it added. I also originally made only 5 patties but they were gigantic and didn't fit in the buns I got. I think 6 would be the perfect amount for the size of most buns, but if you want them to be gigantic go for a 4 or 5 split.
Lomo LC-A 32mm f2.8 using Fomapan 400 dark exposures poorly developed, cassette opened my mistake prior to developing in the last drops of a Paranol S bottle, probably 1:30 for 13 minutes.
Having a Porsche Cayenne in a toy makers 1/64 line up is hardly front page news but whereas most continue to make the original version only a few have modelled the newer generation. Predictably Majorette have excelled with theirs which includes clear headlamps, highly accurate styling, great detailing and of course an opening tailgate. Mint and boxed.
Fantastic new shape Porsche Cayenne by Majorette. I can't believe its taken so long for me to get hold of a regular supply of modern Majorette models. I had forgotten how nicely detailed they are and also have that rare feature these days, opening working parts. My local toymaster store has just started stocking them and they are cheaper than their equivalent Hot Wheels and Matchbox stock. Go figure! Mint and boxed.
Majorette are a very forward thinking toy company who rather like Welly are usually quick to bring out new versions of certain vehicles much quicker than others who are happy to continue making the originals for years after the real vehicle has been superseded! There are many examples of this in the Majorette line up including the Porsche Cayenne which can be seen in its second generation guise and looking all the better for it with its noticeably smoother looking body. Looking particularly smart in this matte dark grey finish its a superb example of the care and attention Majorette devotes even to its mainline products with its superior levels of detailing and all round good build quality. Bought from Poundworld back in August 2016. Mint and boxed.

I consider myself to be quite a big fan of Matchbox so was quite surprised to realise when I bought this Porsche Cayenne Turbo model the other day that the casting is actually nearly 10 years old! I can't believe i've never seen it before!
This appears to be the latest version in a nice deep red metallic colour with great detailing and fashionable black alloy effect wheels.
