Leo was in the basket when Floydd decided to sort of muscle his way in

. I was really surprised that Leo stayed. Usually, he becomes annoyed and leaves under those circumstances, but this time he amiably accommodated his little friend, thus providing me with a fun kitty shot!

Now almost 5kgs, she still likes climbing into her kitten basket from time to time.

I am so tickled with this shot. The handle on the basket was bending forward and backward and forward again under the grip of the boy kitten with the spotted tummy (isn't that cute?) and I thought he was going to fall over, basket and all. The other two kittens had slight grips on the basket, and I think they are the only thing that kept it from falling, until I reached forward and balanced it.

This is my first picture out of thousands that has gone over 50 favorites. Dec. 7th, 2006 I added this little sentence.

I could scarcely believe it when I saw that I had captured the curly tail and the fantastic paws and expression, and blue eyes. I was grinning from ear to ear. This is copyright, Dorothy Delina Porter, and no part of it may be reproduced without my express permission. This is best viewed large, not that my large here is that large, but it is as big as I wanted to make it for posting it here.

The boy with the red collar is in front. The girl is hanging onto the handle of the basket and their names have been changed to protect the innocent. NOTE on July 22, 2012: Once this is approved for the regular group photos in ALL Cats - No People (group), I want to put it in the Olympics thread they have going.

I call these guys the Orange

Blossom Special because they are little orange tabby creamsicle type kittens. There were 5, but Russet, a girl, got adopted while I was taking pictures of these 4. Some of the series only have 1, 2 or 3 out of the 4 in the picture. (3228orangeblossomspecialanother4kitten7eyes) Tangelo is a boy on the left, not sure about the other 3. They are Umber, Gamboge & Coral.

This photo of mine was exhibited on May 11, 2009 at a web site called thedailykitten.com/

There were about 14 or 15 of these "Orange Blossom Special Kitten Litter (set)" pictures exhibited. I'll probably just submit to this group of Exhibited and Sold Works: GIVE DETAILS or YOU'RE OUT (Pool) the 4 that are getting the most votes there. I received photo credits, and mention of and a link to Heartland Humane Society in Corvallis, Oregon and links back to Flickr.

I think there were 6 little kittens in this litter to start with, but just these two were left this afternoon at the Heartland Humane Society. I'm pretty sure that of these two, Derby the little boy in the basket, got adopted while I was there today.

(IMG_0752darlainbackderbyqinbasket)

He is getting adopted Friday, and they are thinking about changing his name to "Mike". But for right now, his name is long and feminine sounding because a little child named him, when he was in foster care. His name at Heartland Humane Society is Cutie Sweety Striped Candy.

P. S. Felony Cute is my way of saying so darn cute it should be a crime. (9818cutiesweetystripedcandywillbemike)

BTW, Felony cute is an expression I coined sometime in the last 2-4 years before 2019 and it was accepted into the "Urban Dictionary".

I'm not positive. This picture was from right out of my camera, no adjusting or cropping or anything whatsoever.

On Sunday October 8th, 2006, I decided I would change it just a little bit of bright/contrast. I replaced the picture

The black kitty is Bear, and the Grey kitty is called Grey. Someone put a lot of thought into that. LOL I believe these two were siblings, both male I think. What was interesting about these two, is that while I was taking pictures of them, an employee at the Heartland Humane Society came in and plucked "Bear" gently out of the cage, and took him up front where he was being adopted. Off to a new life, and not so much as a backward look to his brother, "Grey". Exciting and sad all mixed together for me. Grey continue to play and be curious. The little basket I took in was way too small, but it was all I had. I don't usually take in a prop, but today I did. (3800bear&greytwokittenswithbasket)

I took a photo of this sweetie long-haired little girl kitten over 7 years ago and somehow she never got titled, grouped, albumed or tagged or described. Poor little thing.

This is left to right, Aster, Amaryllis & Azalea, beautiful little sister kittens

I seem to unintentionally keep taking photos of 4 cats or 4 kittens, but only 7 eyes showing. I've done it again with this one. LOL The tiny one way in the back left corner is Coral.

I posting this sweetheart to two groups about color on Tuesday being Orange. This coloration is popularly known as Orange Tabby or Orange Creamsicle; so I hope it is OK.

I think these two sister kittens at the Humane Society on December 8, 2006 are named Eva & Beth. But I am not positive, and I don't know which one is which.

Great News! They were adopted! and they got to stay together!

(5125raytabbytatianaflirtcomicorjustpretty2) ray should say gray

This little guy was very active, didn't really want to sit still for a minute. I thought his name might be Latte, but after further picture taking today, it is not Latte. It is either Cappacino (sic) or Octavius.

(1918fresnotinyboykittenlonghairedtabby) "F" is for Fuzzy and Fresno

I revisited this picture on August 15, 2011 and what an incredibly beautiful little kitten he was. I wonder who adopted him, and if they love him dearly, and how he is doing. His name at the Humane Society was Fresno. I wonder if they changed it. Most people do after they adopt one.

Just thinking out loud ......

(3275orangeblossomsp3boysoil5) These 3 are all boys.

The little tabby boy kitten was the more aggressive of the two and more playful too. Poor little "Encore" was getting squished. I think Encore is a little girl kitten.

He reminds me so much of my Cerulean. More details coming later about the Turkish Angora remark.

Story Part:

A week or so ago I was looking up Turkish Angora cats on the Internet. Someone had suggested that Cerulean might be Turkish Angora. What I found out from my reearch is that Cerulean most likely a Turkish Angora. The articles talked about how sometimes they have blue eyes, and when they have both eyes blue, they are almost always totally deaf. Cerulean has both blue, and he is not deaf.

There was this sweet little kitty, Aaron, at the Heartland Humane Society, and I thought at first that he had both eyes blue. I didn't try to do any testing for hearing as there was a lot noise and people coming and going. I'm happy to say some people were adopting pets.

In the articles I read, it said some Turkish Angora cats (and it talked about white ones, though it said they are not always white) have one blue eye and one green. Personally, and this is just my preference; I'm not really fond of odd eyes on animals. But this article said it is prized as a cat that has, get this, been touched by Allah. So little Aaron has apparently been touched by Allah. After taking several pictures of him, I did notice the eye color was different.

Also, I read that when one eye is blue and one green that the deafness occurs only in one ear, and that would be the ear where the blue eye is.

I think Aaron here is a cutie pie. I have no idea if he is deaf in one ear or not. I do think he is Turkish Angora or if nothing else, a mix of it.

I guess Cerulean hasn't been touched by Allah, but I am touched by Cerulean, and that is what matters to me.

I'm going to put this story with lots of the pictures of Aaron (I like to call him "Hotch" form Aaron Hotchner's character on Criminal Minds. That way, no matter which picutre of him someone looks at, they can read about this if they want. But for the Pictures with Stories (set) and the Pictures with Stories (pool), I'll just choose this one picture to enter.

(2778aaronsoithinkofhimashotchorbabyrooroo) but this little boy kitten is Aaron. I tend to think of him as "Hotch" from "Criminal Minds" rather than Aaron.
