That green box there on the lawn is probably part of the night time illumination of the historic city wall.

We went to our first in-person baseball game of the season and it was the BEST. (Okay, it was a single A game, and about 50 degrees, so it wasn't actually the best baseball game, but being there? For the first time in so many months? Is definitely the best.) We got to see the Mets single A affiliate (which is rare; they don't often play the teams nearby) so we got to take a look at one of the top prospects. And, you know, beer and hot dogs and sunshine.

The San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park is a US national park, so of course there are park rangers with smokey-the-bear-hats.

I was lucky to get there on National Park Day, so there wasn't even an entrance fee. But I would happily have paid it; it is well worth the price.

I haven't knitted or crocheted anything in a while, and I have been missing it. So it was perfect timing when Dan asked if I'd make him a scarf. I showed him examples of knitting and crochet, and he preferred the garter stitch ones by far, so that's what I'm doing. I was surprised that he let me convince him that he didn't want a solid black scarf, but let's face it: dark gray and black stripes is still pretty neutral.
