no idea about the species

What's In a Name?

Cosy Catch isn’t just a nod to the boat’s fishing past — it’s a gentle wink to what she’s become.

Once, this vessel hauled in nets full of eel from still, inland waters. Back then, the "catch" was the day’s work, heavy with effort and grit. But now, after years of care and transformation, she catches something entirely different: quiet mornings, warm sunsets, drifting thoughts, and the occasional purring kitten asleep in a sunbeam.

The name celebrates that shift — from labor to leisure, from tide to time — where the only things being reeled in are comfort, creativity, and a life well lived. It's a little slice of calm afloat on a big, busy world.

A cosy catch, indeed.

Play Features

Cosy Catch isn’t just a treat for the eyes — it’s packed with hands-on features that invite interaction and storytelling.

Slide open the double doors to the cabin and step into the cozy interior, or peek inside through the roof hatches above the bathroom and main living area. The rudder at the stern can be steered manually, and the propeller underneath spins freely — whether you're imagining a slow cruise across the lake or a daring escape from a curious gull.

And don’t forget the hidden tool cabinet behind the wheelhouse — perfect for Jack’s next project — or the crane and davits at the rear, ready to launch the RIB into adventure. Every corner of this houseboat is designed to inspire play, display, and discovery.

Catch 31 Seafood Restaurant - Is the 31st Street model the future of the beach? I hope so.

In an attempt to catch up with mates I headed down this morning to Curly on the Northern Beaches (home for the weekend with Mother's Day and all) to shoot sunrise. Ended up only being charles down there (and I couldn't find him either ><).

Oh well, got some shots...

The morning paper

Look in the mirror

On your key-chain

Or in the coffee spoon

On your shirt sleeve

In the flat-screen

In your mailbox

Breathing over you

Come on baby, when will you see

That you and I were meant to be

And now I got my target on track

Baby you should know that I'm so good at that

Run to where you want, run to where you want

I am gonna find you

There ain't no distance far enough

My love's gonna find you

Run to where you want, run to where you want

But may I remind you

There ain't no engine fast enough

My love's gonna catch you

In your top drawer

In your cheque book

On your cellphone

By your easy-chair

In the next room

Behind the curtain

Can't escape me

I'm watching everywhere

Come on baby, when will you see

That you and I were meant to be

And know I got my target, I'm on track

Baby you should know that I'm so good at that

Run to where you want

Run to where you want

I am gonna find you

There ain't no distance far enough

My love's gonna find you

Run to where you want, run to where you want

But may I remind you

There ain't no engine fast enough

My love's gonna catch you

Why waste your energy

No point in fighting

Let you heart surrender to your destiny

And this world's not big enough

For you to hide for long

In this game of hide and seek

There's nowhere left to run

Run to where you want, run to where you want

I am gonna find you

There ain't no distance far enough

My love's gonna find you

Run to where you want, run to where you want

But may I remind you

There ain't no engine fast enough

My love's gonna catch you

Catch you, catch you, catch you, catch you, catch you, catch you, catch you, catch you

It was a good day for fishing but this particular snowy egret was having trouble holding on to it's catch, saw it drop several.
