The Catch 22 Diner is about a mile away from the Key City Diner. It caught fire the same day as the Key City Diner but it reopened about a month later. I don't know how long it stayed open but it was definitely dead, or at least dormant, when I stopped by on Saturday.

We'd spent the day at these Ugandan kids school, helping out, teaching, stuff like that. When we left we gave them a bunch of biros and they just went wild! Funny how different things make different people happy!

The Mayan Riviera is truly a beautiful place. While on vacation there, I made my way down the beach to this little pier and had the fortune to catch this beautiful sunrise. I spent nearly two hours down there that morning, just me and my camera, and managed to catch a few really great moments that I will remember for years to come.

Be Your Own Light
Day 7 - The Light in Your Eyes
Thankful for doing the circling of light exercise a few days ago, so I could find the right angle for the light today.
I believe that there was a recent discussion in the Icebox about "who the heck uses the phrase...have a catch?" I believe I have used it on occasion, but prefer the phrase "let's play catch". Anyway, these two fellas (and the girlfriend of the guy who's catching) willingly let me take this shot. It took a while to get, but they were good about it. The low afternoon light created great conditions.
Enjoy!!!
