My speciality two times a year. Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I learned this year that flour in the topping isn't necessary.
Granddaughter has gone gluten free, therefore no wheat flour.
The recipe only calls for 1/4 cup of flour with the brown sugar, butter,
and pecans. Didn't make any difference that I left it out.
I was about to begin preparing dinner when I was diverted by the phone. When I returned, Gandalf had decided to nap in my casserole.

I stole this idea from Kate, I hope you don't mind Kate! I Saw her wonderful casserole picture and thought "I want to make that!" So... yeah I put stuff together that I thought should go together and actually turned out pretty good, I'm going to make it on Christmas... and then I photographed it...
Used some jelly and syrup containers to make some playscale casserole dishes.

ODC layers
I made a layered casserole this morning. It has onions, apples and yams. I topped it with a maple syrup sauce. It was tasty!
Last night's delicious dinner cooked by my hubby from his Hairy Biker's Diet Cookbook. It's a signed copy given to him by our eldest son for Father's Day. We try to support the small businesses as much as possible. The sausages came from our local butchers, they had a high percentage of pork.
With all the rain and getting dark so early now, I'm left with just indoor shots for 2016: one photo each day. This is a casserole of macaroni and cheese. Both are buried under a topping of bread crumbs. (3115/366)
I made this for lunch today. It's vegan and gluten-free. It's topped with a can of Organic Cream Of Mushroom Soup. We will be eating this for a few days. The recipe suggested putting bacon in this if you wish and you could add Cream Of Chicken Soup on top of the dish. It would no longer be Vegan.
I've kind of lost track of what all is on hoop love, if these have already been shared, I apologize.

I found this Verde divided casserole with lid, in box, at a local antique mall that I frequent. This booth had a 35% off sale, so I managed to grab this for about $10.
