Coffee in the Garden event of the San Diego Cactus and Succulent Society.
My instinct at first glance was that this is a photograph of a painting, but on second look I am not so sure.
One of 140 images from a fascinating album. For more information see the full set
Just how many of these images can we identify, and what can we find out about the people they portray?
Al Unser Jr in the Galles March-Chevrolet at the Portland CART race, 1984. Scanned from the original Ektachrome color slide, sorry about that finger print.

A railway cart, a lorry or what the French call a draisine though this is most a motorized vehicle mainly in use for maintenance or track inspection use. This is the old style the front seat for the inspector and the staff behind the seat for propelling the thing by hand. Notice the suspension and missing lever handles. Why they painted it pink, they never were? Maybe its was gay (light-hearted) to go around this way.
This was on a luggage cart at a rental car office at the Denver Airport. This photo marked the first time someone authoritative has come up and lobbed me the old "may I help you?" while I was taking a photo. "Hi. I'm just taking a picture of these numbers" apparently was a bizarre enough response that he didn't know how to deal with it and just left me alone.

This is one of the greatest things I've ever seen inside of a store. It is a cart escalator, in the Target store in Nashua, New Hampshire. You really need to see it in person to feel the impact. (see also)

This is a folding kayak cart made from an old golf bag cart. Some of the details on this, and on few other DIY kayak and canoe carts, are at my blog.
Although I understand why someone might want to obtain a thing of such beauty, I'm afraid it isn't for sale.
(May 22: the cart's been remodeled for the second time since this photo was taken, and now it's starting to look like a tiny boat trailer.)
In Potosi, Bolivia, the miners use these carts Indiana Jones-style to make their way through the mines. Extremely dangerous down there, and several men die every year.

With a career starting from the 1920s to the late 1960s, Amorsolo and his school may have found opposition in the many modernists from the 1930s onwards, but his pastoral works were never on the wrong side of popular (the patrons’) opinion.
In this 1967 work, Amorsolo used natural light in his paintings and developed the backlighting technique which can be hinted in this bucolic scene. In typical Amorsolo fashion, the figure of a man alongside the carabao is outlined against a characteristic glow, and the subdued silhouette of the mountain backdrop holds the composition while helping to highlight details in the foreground. This work is a fine exception to the adage that Philippine sunlight was a constant feature of Amorsolo's pastoral works.

Considering the contents of the Chrononaught's left behind basket, perhaps we have stumbled upon a set of instructions? Or perhaps divination devices? We have also thought about these as being memory cells that help retain information as our voyageurs cross from one portion of the multiverse into another.
I decided to go with a refurbished golf cart rather than buying a used golf cart from a private individual. Find out all the new golf cart parts that are installed on a refurbished golf cart.
Shopping FUN, Thought I would take my camera shopping and have some fun with it, I tried this about ten times at different angles and different length exposures, I liked this one the best even though I have chopped my head off.
A local cart full of agricultural produce which was usually drawn by a small donkey or even pushed by the street-hawker. Today it is a very rare sight as street hawkers use vans which can be veritably called ‘mobile greengrocery shops’. MALTA
nice contrast yellow and concrete, found this cart just standing here. didn't use photoshop or anything to get this contrast
