Over the last 3 years I've become increasingly tired of bending down to turn my machine on, or make adjustments. First order of business...get it up to ergonomic height! The tilting table top above the welder if 5 foot up from the floor.
Portland may be the food cart capital of the world. This series is one block in downtown Portland that is home to a large number of food carts serving a variety of ethnic dishes. There are similar "food cart pods" sprinkled throughout the city along with many individual or small groups of food carts. This series was taken late in the evening so a number of carts were closed.
Do yourself a favor and lease two bottles. Murphy's welder law #7 says your only gas bottle "with runneth dry on Sunday afternoons at 2:00 p.m." Pencil cup is handy too..we all know how they walk away as soon as you turn your back on 'em !

Yet another video of the cart going up the cart escalator! I'm used to it nowadays, but I figured it gives me an opportunity to use my EVO as a video camera...which produced positive results!

It occurred to me that the basket accidentally left behind by our Chrononaughts and Voyageurs might contain something of interest. We were stunned to learn they too play cards. Though we have no idea how these cards are played, the cover images are quite striking and might be worth sharing here. It would not surprise us to learn these are actually used for divination or navigation.

While playing golf at Montebello earlier this month, we were into the back 9 when our golf cart stopped operating. I normally use a pull cart so don't normally worry about such things as dead batteries when I'm golfing. Ball in water hazards - yes! Dead batteries - No! When it happened, I stood there for a few moments thinking about what I should do - perhaps just leave the cart in the fairway and carry our bags. Decided to walk back to the clubhouse and get help and another cart.
