thank you MLK day because I was able to make some progress on the hardest part of this whole freakin' thing! I finally started building into the big bubbly type shape in front. It's actually a lot easier to build than it looks! I estimate that this whole front portion should be done by the end of February, but no earlier.

I came across this concept art by Stan Mott, which I found both stupid and genius, so I decided to make my own.

So yes, the transporter is on tracks and carries seaplanes, boats and a helicopter. Stay in your cabin or have fun at the beach but watch out for sharks!

In former times trams were not only used for personal transports they were also used to pull carriers for , erm..., everything?

The idea is simple, new space force needs carriers, but has no carriers. So take the biggest thing, a supply ship, and chop it up into bits, find some engines, bolt them on back, use the cargo containers as ad hoc flight tubes/individual hangars, and weld some shit on the front and hope it looks right. Then bolt some(read: too many) point defense cannons to the hull, and add a "Bridge". Oh, and run electrical and internal supply lines, as well as ammunition and life support through what was previously a mostly depressurized vessel(oh, and reinforce structures to take 1 ATM of pressure), and you're done! One escort carrier for about 150% of the effort of making one from scratch, but, only 20% of the cost.

This current version only holds 6 Kingfisher class fighters, but with modification to the cargo containers each can hold two, and more substantial modification to the structure of the ship, you can hold about 20.

Gunsan is a city in North Jeolla Province, South Korea. It is on the south bank of the Geum River just upstream from its exit into the Yellow Sea. It has emerged as a high-tech manufacturing industrial city and an international trade seaport that is approximately 200 km (120 mi) southwest of Seoul on the midwest coast of the Korean Peninsula.

The Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing, also called the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge and Second Narrows Bridge, is the second bridge constructed at the Second (east) Narrows of Burrard Inlet in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Originally named the Second Narrows Bridge, it connects Vancouver to the North Shore of Burrard Inlet, which includes the District of North Vancouver, the City of North Vancouver, and West Vancouver. It was constructed adjacent to the older Second Narrows Bridge, which is now exclusively a rail bridge. Its construction, from 1956 to 1960, was marred by a multi-death collapse on June 17, 1958. The First Narrows Bridge, better known as Lions Gate Bridge, crosses Burrard Inlet about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) west of the Second Narrows.

It is pretty trippy. Kids love it too! They go absolutely bananas out there.

They should have provided glow-in-the-dark face masks. Then it would be this burning city with all sick zombies walking around.

Going blonde for December BNO tomorrow. What do you think?

So recently a lot has been told about the Russian Aircraft Carrier Kuznetsov going to Syria escorted by other russian warships (including the Battlecruiser Peter the Great).

Honestly I´m a huge fan of the Kuznetsov. We all know that it has it´s problems (no catapult to launch planes, a rather small air wing of only 30 planes, more than 30 years old) but I still consider that it´s a wonderful ship.

I kinda wonder if it will be used in combat.

Recent images show the ship carrying a Ka-52 Alligator Attack Helicopter and a few Su-33 fighters. I was hoping to see the new multi-role Mig-29K fighters onboard but so far, nothing.

So, what do you guys think about all this?
