George Harrison was a Gretsch user. He had a few.
This is the cover to his album to Cloud Nine, his album that came out when I was in 3rd grade. Pictured on it is a Gretsch 6128 he bought in 1961. The album contained the hit “Got My Mind Set on You.”
That song was a family favorite. In fact, the boy that we carpooled with that year was also a George Harrison. We'd laugh at the similarities.
I wish I had a picture of it, but because George visited the sister when she was living in Benton, IL, there is a Beatles Mural in Benton just off I-57. I’ve seen it, but there is no place to pull over to get a picture. It was that location he first heard “Got My Mind Set on You.”
The Wild Huckleberries Red Hatters met in Valdosta to carpooled to Boston, GA. In Boston, we toured the Dillon Candy Factory. Then we took a driving tour through downtown Boston, GA. Next we drove back toward Valdosta and stopped in Quitman and had a delicious lunch at the Wiregrass Restaurant. It was a fun time of candy tasting, shopping, winning prizes, eating, and fellowship.
Hubby down my way on training so we carpooled. Lucky coz am trying new sinus medication and am feeling rather loopy :-)
Lots of cars in the parking lot out at Pleasant Valley Park for the Alcoa Serve-a-Thon. Some of the Volunteers even parked at another lot down the road and carpooled up to the event.

Horrible feeling...
I carpooled with some of my fraternity sisters to the funeral for the sister of one of our sisters. She asked us to sing during the ceremony. I have no idea how we got through it. I was fine until I saw my friend and how sad she was. I can't even begin to imagine how she feels.
One father in the neighborhood when carpooling kids to school would floor it over the bump in the road above. All the kids would fly up and hit the ceiling of the car. Good times.
