For over 25 years, my parents had a carpet store on the square in downtown Cordell, Oklahoma.
In July 1969, I took several pictures inside their store.
A shadow cast on a medical office carpet was the inspiration for this abstracted image.

ODC - "Uva uvam vivendo varia fit" - 'Sheep' at the carpet museum, reminding us of one of the things their wool can be changed into.
"Carpet Diem" is the kind of photograph you take and edit when you are cooped up at home, hoping to avoid COVID19. It also gave me a chance to make a really awful pun.
This rug hangs on the wall right behind the desk at which I am typing. I have no idea of the rug's country of origin.
NB -This is an extreme crop of a hand-held photo taken with a Panasonic TZ-101 travel zoom. This does have a so-called 1" sensor (big for a little camera) which helped WRT sharpness even after cropping.

In Biri there is a small carpet at the entrance of each room. All different and with beautiful colors. They can be washed and are put to dry in the sun
Our Daily Challenge ... strong.
I spotted this guy on the edge of the walking path to the beach today. He had the strength to stay where he was rather than high tail it back into the scrub despite all the people taking photos. Carpet snakes or pythons also have a great deal of physical strength which they use to "subdue" their prey before swallowing them whole.
Also farmers have quite a strong regard for them as they often live in feed sheds and a quite good at keeping rodents at bay. A win-win situation really.
Sorry I have been missing in action for a while ... lots going on. Hopefully I'll be able to get back into Flickr soon.
I took my T82, added some assorted gear, and voila. I was going to add some figures but in the end I decided to just leave it as is.

Women working outside the home will spend an average of twelve hours per day in the summer months, from sunrise to sunset and about 8-10 hours daily during the winter. Weaving is done primarily when there is natural light. Women are not paid an hourly wage, but rather for the completed carpet or kilim. There are many criteria used to determine the amount she will receive such as the intricacy of the design, quality of the materials used, and if it is a carpet, the number of knots per square centimeter.
