My sister and I built a playhouse for her children. Leia was mostly an obstacle to our efforts, though she displayed a surprising affinity for banging pieces of wood together.

The client wanted a "Tom and Jerry" mouse hole to add whimsy to a formal dining room.

Made from wood gathered from the Joinery free scraps bin.

Some open shelving provides display space for the homeowners' vintage kitchen accessories. Contemporary stainless steel appliances fit in well with the vintage style of the space.

Benedictine monastery is built in the Middle Ages. The building complex is now used as museum and hotel.

Emphasis on hand tools on the carpentry course

These roof nails were hand-forged and likely original to the roof when it was built in around 1725.

Probably a structure where signs were made since several signs are laying around. Easel stands at left. Chair at open side in back looking out on another large building at a medium distance. Structure includes this side and another with wood construction implements and activities.

There is a carpentry training workshop at Nyangombe, which helps to train students to become expert in carpentry and cabinet making.
