I haven't even opened it yet. Is there anything better than a care package from a childhood friend when it feels like you're worlds away from "the village" that raised you? I smile.
My friend Tim is a 1LT in the U.S. Army, currently stationed in Afghanistan. I told him I'd send him a care package and he requested that I send Propel water bottle packets. I also sent along a fresh tooth brush, deodorant, candy, baby wipes, tissues, and a few snacks. I'm very proud of him and can't wait for him to come home.

There is a bus stop near our place that acts as a kind of donation station for the area's needy. This bag of food was not there long before somebody picked it up.
