I was having a very trying few weeks at this point so my sister ordered some mint brownies from the Vermont Brownie Company and had them delivered to me. This half dozen, individually wrapped bits of chocolately minty yumminess helped to save my sanity when I needed it most. My little sister, in a word, is awesome. <3

Yummy stuff for our troops!

A longtime friend of my wife, Denise, sent us a small care package today. A colleague from Berlin is visiting Alaska for a couple weeks – the colleague hand delivered these goodies this afternoon.

Project Hope was the first to pick up their bushels of towels and bags of socks. Our DSN team would rush in and out of the build during the next hour or so to bring these packages to the vans waiting outside.

We had 6 different organizations come and receive these packages. A small tangible expression of God's glory & love to Boston, esp. to those who are in great need.

Took over the Care Package program for the base Chief's Mess today. This is just one of the containers of stuff that we had we can put in the packages. I've never seen so much lip balm in my life. haha

Any ideas for package items are welcome. We send a monthly care package to all the Sailors from NAS Lemoore who are currently serving on an IA. One month is typically food items, next month is toiletries.

part of the best care package ever from rhymi to me, december 2004.

The contents of a recent care package sent from my mum. Claire and I live on Barry's Tea, and while Cadbury's Creme Eggs are available in Canada, these ones from Ireland are larger and taste noticeably different. Not better, not worse, just different.

The package had been opened by Canadian Customs, and, for whatever reason, they chose to open one of the two packets of Creme Eggs. However, nothing was removed or taken, and, as seen in my previous photo, everything was sealed back in and sent on to me to enjoy.

donated by the one and true The Falls Church Episcopal.

This batch is stacked and ready to go but this isn't all of them! We find with the quantity of holiday mail we ship, it is best to use priority mail "flate rate" boxes and envelopes. We can stuff them and never worry about how heavy they are because we only pay one flat rate.
