care-package from home: card, buttons, stickers, sweet stationary, a new cell charm, contacts (ha), 2 boxes of my favorite girl scout cookies, and a calendar rocking chair. moms are the greatest.

MSgt P emailed me on January 10 to let us know that some of the care packages had arrived. I believe this are from the January 5 ship date. Note the cards and letters from supporters at home posted on the bulletin board behind him.

I'm sending a care package to the boy I'm infatuated with. Here's the contents organized neatly.

College of DuPage President Dr. Ann Rondeau and COD Cares volunteers packed care packages for deployed military personnel during a recent visit to Operation Support Our Troops -America in Lisle. About a dozen COD Action Heroes spent the morning packing much-needed comfort items to be sent to service members.

Holy sweet crap! We've got enough stuff here to season an army! oh, and make them lots of coffee.

Since I sound deathly ill over the phone, dear Jeff and Andreas decided to bring over some care items!

 

And by that I mean Jeff was here and Andreas was here in spirit.

The Department of Natural Sciences & Mathematics hosted an event for MLK Jr. Week of Service. Faculty, staff, & students all helped assemble care packages for the homeless. The Sisters of Charity founded and run the Shelter of Hope in Leavenworth. The care packages will be sent there.

Another family was going to bring this to Seoul for us--we thought they'd travel before we did--but it's looking like we'll be there around the same time as they are!

Instead, it seems like the box contains a few gifts! The first gift is some wadded up paper and bubble wrap.

Two of my friends came to visit back over Memorial Day weekend, and they sent me this little care package as a thank you.
