The Michigan State University Spartan Marching Band Colorguard unveiled their new uniforms, featuring sequins to capture the light.
Intention - The intention was to capture the subject's face and eyes in the photo.
Reference to the reading - In chapter two of Freeman's book, he talked about how eyes and mouths are the parts of faces that we tend to look at first because that is "where we derive most of our information for deciding how someone will react." This shows how important these aspects are, which relates to my photo because I wanted to create confusion or discomfort with the subject's eyes and mouth.
Outcome - The outcome is a photo that has a great amount of visual weight due to the nature of the subject's face and eyes. By looking directly into the camera and having an intense look on his face, it could cause the viewer to feel tension, discomfort, confrontation, or intrigue.
Edits - Some distracting debris was removed from the wall and glass using the Spot Healing Brush Tool, highlights and whites were decreased, and shadows and blacks were increased.
