The boy is half asleep, as is usual before school happens. The cat just wandered over out of nowhere and sat on him.
Me and a friend of mine decided to give each other a topic per day and make a picture out of it. The theme of this shot was "density".
While thinking of it and trying to use what I had at my disposal I found a disposable cap and I thought it would be nice to capture the density building up a composition like this.

Young troops will recieve a Union kepi, a belt, a musket and an authentic meal and will participate in drills.
I'm guessing he was taken prisoner in an exercise? Other photos that look like a similar setting and time of day show a group of them looking at maps with confused expressions on their faces. Perhaps they stumbled into an ambush. The photo was taken at low light, so not the best quality.

I am obsessed about capturing every space that I am in. Also I do capture performances or spaces on request for a project. I upload the best of the captures on to FLICKR. From these I select a few to write my blogs about the experience, introspection, learning etc. I also use for executing projects in education, performing arts etc.

There are many ways to capture an object, a moment, people or a landscape. In this picture three ways are shown.
The first and oldest way is visible in the background, on the screen of the iPhone: painting. The painting visible on the screen of the iPhone is known as 'The Night Watch' or 'De Nachtwacht'. It's a famous work by the Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn.
The second way to capture something is by taking a photograph. In this picture displayed as an iPhone which is taking a picture of The Night Watch.
And the third way to capture something isn't actually displayed in this picture; it's the picture itself. This picture was made with a Pentax KM exposed on Kodak T-Max 400 and developed in Kodak D-76.

Captured this one out in the rain. The weather resistance of my camera and lens kicked in here. The temperature was in the 30's F, and I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt.
