Lately you have seen many of my door photography, you must be wondering what in the world Jean’s up to or had her mind gone wrong. Anyway my mind is intact but I have made a discovery in my photography collection.
Ever since I have taken seriously on my photography journey, I joined camera club, meetup groups, and going out with a group of liked mind photographers, in an effort to refine my photography skills. Mostly I enjoy nature, landscape, flowers, macros images and some street photography. Never thought I gravitate toward any specific theme. I simply enjoy the beauty of photography whether it is creative art or just documentary.
In most photo outing, unconsciously I captured many doors images for their beauty, uniqueness, wood pattern, color and its unspoken history and imaginary stories.
Last couple of weeks I started sorting through my old images. The more images I opened and reviewed more I realized many doors were captured in the past but forgotten. Now they are staring at me, shouting and screaming to release their captivity. What a discovery I had. I have a theme I didn’t even recognize it.
Hence I decided to create a Door series album and let their beauty and uniqueness shin through. I don’t know what this will lead to but for the time being these are my theme collection. I am sure I will collect more doors in my future journey.
Door is the key to a path where one can find many opportunities, virtue of life events, happiness, sadness, dream, knowledge, paradigm and anything of your imagination but first one must have the courage to open the door to find what its content and embrace the journey unfold. Here goes my door journey in photography.
