This was our agility session earlier this evening...there's always one. Goodness knows why Blossom took it upon herself to go the wrong way round :) Bonus points for a critter, how about 3 bonus points for 3 critters, Crow? Well the photo made me smile...and I welcome any other caption suggestions.

The caption "Never give up" has a double meaning for this photo. Three years ago I photographed this bird, barely able to put weight on her right foot, having just come very close to losing it. I think I've seen her every year since, with her mate, living a free and happy life. I've posted a photo of her that you can click on to read the story -- look at the size of her ankle and foot in that shot!! The scar is less visible with every passing year, but you can still see the indentation on her right ankle, and her right foot is still bigger than the left.

The second meaning is to keep trying what others tell you isn't feasible - digiscoping flight shots using manual focus. Lots and lots of practice, but my keeper rate is going up :-).

I suppose you can find shops with their colourful beach balls in virtually any seaside town in this country. The one thing that shows it is in Norfolk, on England's East Coast, is the use of flints in the construction of the building next door. When I was researching the location for this caption I made a sad discovery. The next-door cafe, Breakers, actually closed its doors in October 2024 because the owner could no longer afford the escalating costs of gas and electricity. The business had simply become unviable.

Caption borrowed from Dave Matthews.

Ants feeding on milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) in the front garden, Bangor, Maine.

Caption: "Lobster King Harry Hackney with his Lobster Waitresses who won the Prize in Atlantic City's Famous Beauty Pageant Parade on the Atlantic City Boardwalk."

Printed on the other side: "Hackney's, World's Largest Sea Food Restaurant, Atlantic City, N.J. 'Famous as the Boardwalk.'"

There are other examples of this postcard on Flickr, including posts by Steve Shook, Nessa Chan, and SwellMap, but I still couldn't resist uploading my copy of this quirky card.

Not my best pic but perfect for a bit of Friday Fun..

Can you think of a Caption/Title for this Pic..??

Obviously my London Hotel Carpet is screaming a title in bold letters... But can you think of something better...??😉😘

There's nothing like a little ambiguity on the outside to bring out the ambiguity on the inside..

I posted this odd photo to my Facebook page and asked folks to come up with good caption. Of the responses, these were my favorites:

"How's your food? Mine's a little chewie…"

"My meat's a little on the dark side."

"Steak, steak, mistake."

Do you have a fun caption? Let me know in comments!
