Snow capped mountains and two Happy Little Trees.
This hike at Arapaho National Forest started off as just your average (though rather difficult) hike in the beautiful woods. We kept passing people with huge backpacks and walking sticks and hiking gear coming the other way.. towards us... We didn't even stop to consider that we looked nothing like them, with no food or provisions or gear... we just said "hi" and kept walking. We were looking for a lake that was on the map (which we never found.) Eventually, it turned into the "we almost died hike of doom," but it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

Is there some sort of photo protocol where the "host goes first"? As soon as I started taking my first shot, Toby and Jim grabbed their cameras and we all had a good laugh!
