Este fenómeno natural produce gruesas capas blancas de piedra caliza y travertino que bajan en forma de cascadas por la ladera de la montaña, lo que da la sensación de estar ante una catarata congelada. Estas formaciones también adquieren el aspecto de terrazas de travertino en forma de medialuna que contienen una capa de agua poco profunda dispuestas en el tercio superior de la ladera formando escalones, que oscilan de 1 a 6 metros de altura, o estalactitas que sostienen y unen estas terrazas.
Entre las rocas más antiguas se pueden encontrar mármoles cristalinos, cuarcitas y esquistos, que datan del periodo del Plioceno, mientras que la capa superior es de la era Cuaternaria. Los depósitos más recientes de carbonato de calcio le dan al lugar un aspecto blanco deslumbrante.

The dark-capped bulbul (pycnonotus tricolor) is a member of the bulbul family of passerine birds. It is found in central, eastern and south-eastern Africa. It eats a range of fruit, petals, nectar, seeds and arthropods, foraging in groups and using a wide variety of techniques. These include plucking fruit from trees and bushes, probing the flowers of Aloe for nectar, hawking flying insects, hunting for spiders on buildings and picking up fallen fruit.
Kruger National Park is a South African National Park and one of the largest game reserves in Africa. It covers an area of 19,623 km2 in the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga in northeastern South Africa, and extends 360 km from north to south and 65 km from east to west.

Le phare de la Vieille est un phare maritime du Finistère (France) construit de 1882 à 1887 sur le rocher de Gorlebella (« la roche la plus éloignée » en breton) . Il éclaire et sécurise fortement le passage dangereux du raz de Sein, de concert avec la tourelle de la Plate (cardinale ouest). Il est situé dans le raz de Sein à moins d'un mille marin à l'ouest de la pointe du Raz sur la commune de Plogoff et appartient à l'État français. L'« Enfer » de la Vieille doit sa célébrité à sa situation isolée en mer dans une zone agitée.

La légende raconte qu'autrefois, les corps des marins qui avaient perdu la vie en mer venaient s'y échouer. La faute à la configuration des courants de marée et aux vents dominants de secteur ouest qui poussaient les corps des naufragés vers la baie des Trépassés.

There's this big old stump that's located at a local park. Sometimes people leave seeds for the birds although most of the time, the squirrels seem to get them first. This lucky dee did find seeds that day!

Cap Blanc-Nez (literally "Cape White Nose" in English; from Dutch Blankenesse, white headland) is a cape on the Côte d'Opale, in the Pas-de-Calais département, in northern France, culminating at 134 m. The cliffs of chalk are very similar to the white cliffs of Dover at the other side of the Channel in England. Cap Blanc-Nez does not protrude into the sea like a typical cape, but is a high point where a chalk ridge has been truncated by the sea, forming a cliff that is topped by the obelisk of the Dover Patrol Monument, commemorating the Dover Patrol which kept the Channel free from U-boats during World War I.
Cap Blanc-Nez was a vital measuring point for the eighteenth-century trigonometric survey linking the Paris Observatory with the Royal Greenwich Observatory. Sightings were made across the English Channel to Dover Castle and Fairlight Windmill on the South Downs. This Anglo-French Survey was led in England by General William Roy.
Some miles away to the southwest of Cap Blanc-Nez is the Cap Gris-Nez.
Cap Blanc-Nez (Nederlands: Kaap Blankenes; verouderd: Blankenesse, "witte nes"; een nes is een landtong) is een kaap aan het Kanaal bij de Franse gemeente Escalles in het departement Pas-de-Calais. Haar top ligt 134 m boven de zeespiegel.
Cap Blanc-Nez ligt 16 km ten noordoosten van Cap Gris-Nez. De kaap is te voet en per auto te bereiken. Er is een wandelpad van de top van de kaap tot aan het strand.
Plaatsnamen in deze streek verwijzen vaak naar het Middelnederlands. De verfransing gebeurde eerst tussen de 15de en de 17de eeuw. Blackenest is een benaming van de kaap die in geschriften uit de 16de eeuw wordt teruggevonden waarbij black verwijst naar het oudnederlandse woord blanka wat zoveel als helder of blank betekent. Nest verwijst naar nessa wat vooruitstekend stuk land in water betekent.
Cales Cliff is een andere benaming van de kaap die stamt uit de tijd toen het gebied nog aan de Engelsen toebehoorde.

Réserve Naturelle du Néouvielle (65)
À l'origine, lac glaciaire creusé dans le massif granitique du Néouvielle durant la phase de glaciation du quaternaire.
Situé à une altitude de 2 160 m, il est entouré au nord par les pics de Néouvielle et des Trois conseillers.
C'est la seconde plus grande retenue des Pyrénées françaises, 110 hectares pour une profondeur maximale d'environ 130 m et une capacité utile de 67 millions de m3.
