Captain America's shield is physically indestructible under normal conditions; while cosmic and godly opponents have broken his shield, the shield proves strong enough to absorb Hulk's strength, and repel an attack from Thor's mystical hammer Mjölnir without any visible damage, and in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the shield is also shown to be able to cushion falls from great heights. Cap's Shield is also able to absorb all kinetic energy and transfers very little energy from each impact, meaning Captain America does not feel recoil or transferred impact forces from blocking attacks. These physical properties also means the shield can bounce off of most smooth surfaces, ricocheting multiple times with minimal loss in aerodynamic stability or velocity.
You can see Captain America, and his shield, at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in New York's Times Square. It's a great place to visit for locals and tourists alike!

I spent the weekend exploring the northern edge of the White Mountain National Forest, and was in awe most of the time. This shot was one of those moments. Stopped off at Wildcat Mountain for my first snowboard turns of the season. Epic.!

Historically rustic restaurant, the oldest in Broward County Fl. Founder Cap Knight was a rum runner, outstanding chef and illegal gambling house operator, providing people the things that they wanted. Among his famous guests FDR and Churchill.
Cap's is still open for business. A local gem!

Cap has mastered the command "down" today. So far he also knows sit, and stay. Tomorrow I'm going to start teaching him some more advanced commands.
Here 's another angle of what this Cap Rock looks like. As you can see the support from the giant boulder below is not very assuring. Maybe I am missing something from the backside of it. I just cannot tell from any angle. As I know, there have been fatalities of rock slide in Yosemite over the years. Joshua Tree being so close to the major earthquake faults makes me uncomfortable standing right next to that boulder. Who knows how long Cap Rock would stand. At least I 've captured a few photos of it. I am glad that I have photographed Wall Arch at Arches National Park on my first visit many years ago. A few years later, that arch simply collapsed under its own weight.
