I shot this one year ago and hated it - bland as could be. Using no presets in Nik I did all adjustments and "reframed" it and now I like it. This is our state Capitol building in downtown DEnver.

US Capitol in Washington, DC

Decorations lighted-up at the plaza for the Chinese New Year 2022 Festival.

The original building was completed in the year 1800 and was subsequently expanded with the addition of the massive dome. The Capitol is built in a distinctive neoclassical style and has a white exterior. Both its east and west elevations are formally referred to as fronts, though only the east front was intended for the reception of visitors and dignitaries.

We were Segwaying around this, and you might not be surprised to find out we got wet pretty quickly after I took this picture.

The Alabama State Capitol in Montgomery was completed in 1851.

For four months in early 1861, it served as the Confederate Capitol while Montgomery served as the first capital of the Confederate States of America. The Confederate capital was moved to Richmond, Virginia, later in 1861.

The United States Capitol is the meeting place of the United States Congress, the legislature of the federal government of the United States. Located in Washington, D.C., it sits atop Capitol Hill at the eastern end of the National Mall.
