Each spring the cherry blossoms provide beautiful color to the Utah State Capitol grounds.
I posted a similar view before, but this one I like with the steps leading up to the building.
I was very careful stepping on some rocks to get to this pristine section of the desert. The soil there is alive, and takes many years to get to this state ... so not stepping on it is quite important. I really liked this pristine view of the earth there leading into the wall of the Reef there in Utah.
This view was via one of the back dirt roads there in the park.
This is an HDR merge of a few shots taken from the Washington Monument on Easter morning. In spite of the complete dysfunction inside the structure, it's still quite majestic. I'm hoping for a change in leadership in 2018.
A 3 yr restoration project completed in 2016 on the cast iron dome removed old paint, applied a rust inhibitor and repainted the dome.
