Going back to the January trip for throwback Thursday, Cap Dramont, France, a morning long exposure under stormy weather, and 2 post sunset frames. The island with the tower is Ile D'Or, the inspiration for the L'Ile Noire segment (supposedly in Scotland) of Tintin comic books, for those of us old enough to grow up reading them. L'Île d'Or est une île privée située à l'est de Saint-Raphaël, face à la plage du cap du Dramont. Cet îlot rocheux, composé de rochers roux (porphyre), est surmonté d'une tour à l'allure médiévale dont on dit qu'elle aurait inspiré Hergé pour l'album de Tintin L'Île Noire. Source Wikipédia

A year ago I made a day trip to Cap Dramont (Esterel) and found this place overlooking the Bay and the Ile d`Or. Then I decided to take my photo gear with me next time and stay until sunset. Of course I would have liked a few clouds, but even so it was a great atmosphere and an unforgettable experience. This picture was assembled from two images.
