DO NOT REUP ANYWHERE!

Why should you wear your shorts wrinkled? Well, there are a few reasons. First of all, it shows that you don't care too much about what other people think of you. You're confident and comfortable in your own skin. Second, it saves you time and energy. You don't have to iron your shorts or worry about folding them neatly. You can just grab them and go. Third, it adds some personality and flair to your outfit. You can mix and match different colors and patterns without looking too formal or boring. Wrinkled shorts are fun and funky, just like you!

The Museum aan de Stroom (MAS; Dutch for: Museum by the Stream) is a museum located along the river Scheldt in the Eilandje district of Antwerp, Belgium. It opened in May 2011 and is the largest museum in Antwerp.

The 60-metre-high (200 ft) MAS was designed by Neutelings Riedijk Architects. The façade is made of Indian red sandstone and curved glass panel construction. It is an example of postmodern Art Deco architecture. The MAS houses 470,000 objects, most of which are kept in storage. The first visitors' gallery is the "visible store", which contains 180,000 items.

The central focus of the MAS is Antwerp and its connection to the world. The MAS collection ranges from maritime objects which document international trade and shipping, to the history, art and culture of the port city of Antwerp and to art and culture from Europe, Africa, America, Asia and Oceania. The MAS develops thematic exhibitions which connect local and global culture, art and history. The museum is committed to informing the public using new media and immersive presentations

German cuisine is renowned for its hearty and flavorful dishes, often characterized by the generous use of meat, potatoes, and various regional specialties. A typical German meal might feature staples like Bratwurst (grilled sausage), often served with Sauerkraut (fermented cabbage) and Kartoffelsalat (potato salad). Pork, beef, and poultry are commonly prepared in numerous ways, from slow-roasted joints to schnitzels, breaded and pan-fried cutlets that are a ubiquitous presence on menus across the country. Gravies and rich sauces frequently accompany these meat dishes, adding depth and succulence.

Beyond the well-known sausages, German food boasts an incredible diversity of main courses. Rouladen, thin slices of beef rolled around a filling of bacon, onions, and pickles, then braised until tender, is a beloved classic. Goulash, a stew of meat and vegetables seasoned with paprika, though originating in Hungary, has become a firmly integrated part of German culinary tradition. For those who prefer something lighter, Fischbrötchen (fish sandwiches), especially popular in northern Germany, offer a taste of the sea, often featuring pickled herring or smoked fish.

Potatoes are a cornerstone of German cooking, appearing in myriad forms beyond just boiled or mashed. You'll find them as Bratkartoffeln (fried potatoes with bacon and onions), Knödel (dumplings made from potato or bread), and even in gratins and casseroles. Bread, too, is a fundamental part of the German diet, with an astounding variety of dark, dense rye breads, sourdoughs, and rolls. These aren't just accompaniments; they're often central to a meal, especially for breakfast or Abendbrot (evening meal), which is typically a spread of cold cuts, cheeses, and various breads.

No discussion of German food would be complete without mentioning the delightful array of baked goods and desserts. From the iconic Schwarzälder Kirschtorte (Black Forest cherry cake) with its layers of chocolate sponge, cream, and cherries, to various fruit tarts, strudels, and gingerbread cookies, German pastries are a treat for the senses. While the emphasis is often on savory dishes, the sweet side of German cuisine offers a comforting and indulgent experience, perfectly paired with a strong cup of coffee or a traditional German beer.

It's important to remember that this brief overview only scratches the surface of Germany's rich and varied culinary landscape. With distinct regional differences, seasonal specialties, and countless local variations of popular dishes, it would be impossible to showcase every delicious aspect of German food in a single video. From the hearty stews of Bavaria to the fresh fish of the North Sea coast and the wine country's lighter fare, German cuisine offers a vast and fascinating journey for any food enthusiast.

Geschäftsführer Andreas Bergermann (Managing Director), Wuppertaler Miniaturland

Transcript / Translation:" I grew up with it, I got my first model train when I was six, and then sometime when I was eleven or twelve, I started taking them apart and building them myself. My dad was sad, but that's the way it was. I got some boards from the basement and built a train set that was over 10 feet long and that was my world. When my classmates sold their train sets because they had girlfriends or other hobbies, I bought them up and started collecting them. And so I developed a very deep passion for collecting, and the railroad and especially model trains have been with me all my life, at all times, even when I was distracted from the railroad at work, concentrating on my job and my company. But the railroad was always in the foreground."

WUMILA, or Wuppertaler Miniaturland, is a captivating model railway exhibition located in Wuppertal, Germany. It showcases an impressive array of model train layouts across various scales, including the detailed Spur N (1:160 scale) and the larger Spur H0 (1:87 scale). Visitors can marvel at meticulously crafted landscapes. The exhibition also features a historical representation of the Wuppertaler Döppersberg from the 1980s, allowing guests to take a nostalgic journey through time. With its diverse displays, WUMILA offers a unique glimpse into the miniature world of railways, capturing the imagination of both young enthusiasts and seasoned hobbyists alike.

Artist: Claus Richter, 2021. The monument was officially unveiled on 10/15/2021. Afterwards, the CSD Düsseldorf events, which lasted several days, took place.

"Place for the memory and acceptance of gender and sexual diversity

This place is dedicated to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans* people who were victims of violence, persecution and discrimination in Düsseldorf.

And to all those who stood up for gender and sexual diversity in the past, present and future."

Original German text:

"Ort für die Erinnerung und Akzeptanz geschlechtlicher und sexueller Vielfalt

Dieser Ort ist den Lesben, Schwulen, Bisexuellen und trans* Menschen gewidmet, die Opfer von Gewalt, Verfolgung und Diskriminierung in Düsseldorf wurden.

Und all denen, die in Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft für geschlechtliche und sexuelle Vielfalt einstanden und einstehen."

The 2024 La Motte Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa's Western Cape region presents itself as a beautifully balanced and refreshing expression of the grape. This vintage is typically a blend, often incorporating a small percentage of Semillon (around 10%) to enhance complexity and texture. In the glass, it shows a delicate straw colour with a slight green tinge. On the nose, it offers intense, classic aromas of gooseberry and lime, complemented by fragrant undertones of dried grass, green apple, and sometimes a hint of tropical fruit like litchi. The grapes are sourced from various top Sauvignon Blanc terroirs in the Cape Winelands - including Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, and the Cape South Coast - with the diverse climates contributing to its multi-layered character.

The palate of the 2024 vintage is typically described as supple and smooth, yet still vibrant and dry. It delivers flavours of fresh lemon, winter melon, and green apple, with the signature gooseberry notes continuing from the aroma. While the acidity may be slightly lower than in some previous vintages, it remains well-balanced, contributing to a wonderfully crisp mouthfeel and a juicy, long-lasting finish. This wine is crafted to be enjoyed either as a refreshing aperitif or as a versatile food partner, pairing exceptionally well with classic choices like seafood, light pasta dishes, and its natural companion, goat's cheese, as well as spicier Asian cuisine.

Dreamina at Capcut.com offers video creation with Seedance and image creation with Seedream (from Bytedance, a Chinese AI company) as well as Google's Nano Banana image creation.

I have been creating manga with Nano Banana via the Pro Gemini (or Enterprise Gemini) that we are provided at work but after creating about 20 images it always tells me it is busy. So I have been using Nano Banana on Dreamina at Capcut.com instead. It has other advantages in that it lets you brush over something (such as an extra arm that Nano Banana sometimes provides) and have it removed. The canvas and brush features are not available afaik at Gemini. It could also turn the above created by "Image 5.0" (perhaps Seedance Image 5.0) from the prompt "plum-crushing heavy rain in modern Japan" into a video. It is currently half price or 150 usd for a lot of images and videos a month for a year. There are a number of other sites oftter use of Seedream (video) and Seedance. I am chosing Capcut because it also provides Nano Banana with which my seminar student Mr. Lee and I have alread created quite a few manga.

Düsseldorf, the capital city of North Rhine-Westphalia, stands as a beacon of culture and commerce in Germany. With its roots stretching back to the 7th century, it has grown from a small fishing village on the Düssel River into a bustling metropolis known for its fashion industry, art scene, and vibrant nightlife. The city's architecture is a tapestry of history, with the St. Lambertus Church and the Schlossturm (Castle Tower) telling tales of the past, while modern structures like the Gehry Buildings in the MedienHafen district showcase its contemporary spirit. Düsseldorf is also a city of greenery, with the Hofgarten providing a tranquil escape from the urban rush. The Königsallee, affectionately known as "Kö," is a luxurious shopping boulevard that reflects the city's economic prosperity. As an international business hub, Düsseldorf hosts numerous trade fairs, drawing visitors from around the globe. The city's culinary landscape is as diverse as its population, offering everything from traditional Rhineland dishes to international cuisine. Düsseldorf's cultural calendar is packed with events, including the famous Rhenish Carnival, which fills the streets with color and joy. Education is a cornerstone of the city, with institutions like the Heinrich Heine University fostering the next generation of thinkers. The city's commitment to the arts is evident in its many galleries and theaters, and the renowned Kunstakademie Düsseldorf has nurtured some of the art world's most influential figures. With its strategic location along the Rhine, Düsseldorf is a key player in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, one of the principal economic centers of Germany. The city's airport and trade fair grounds are among the busiest in the country, underscoring its role as a gateway to Europe. Düsseldorf's blend of historical charm and modern innovation makes it a unique and dynamic city that continues to shape the cultural and economic landscape of Germany.

"Princess" by Feng – Official Music Video

Shot, directed, and styled by me

Originally conceived as a small personal art project, this video was born purely from passion. Inspired by the raw, unfiltered energy of underground artists, I envisioned a visual story the moment I heard Princess by Feng. Using an iPhone 5, we shot spontaneously on the streets of Soho after a studio session, capturing a nostalgic, unpolished atmosphere that feels like a forgotten archive of youth.

The styling was minimal yet bold—oversized black outfits paired with delicate tiaras—to create a playful but moody tone. I edited the project entirely in CapCut, staying true to its DIY aesthetic.

What began as an independent concept caught the attention of Feng’s manager, Allureigncti, who loved the authenticity of the visuals. A few conversations later, it became the official music video, now surpassing 180,000 views. Receiving feedback from respected editor Lauzza, who described it as “very playful… like a school trip,” reinforced the spirit I aimed to capture.

This project embodies my passion for storytelling, resourceful creativity, and transforming raw ideas into impactful visuals.

The exposition "Urge" by Fons Schobbers, held in the Water and Sculpture Garden of the Castle Garden Arcen, showcases a collection of compelling sculptures that embody the artist's inner drive for creation. Schobbers, a sculptor and artist born in Venlo in 1947, has been working independently since 1973, drawing inspiration from human forms and emotions. This exhibition marks a return to Arcen for Schobbers, who also presented his work at the garden's opening in 1988.

The title "Urge" reflects the fundamental impulse behind Schobbers' artistic process. His sculptures are born from an intense engagement with materials like plaster, marble, wood, and bronze, involving techniques of hacking, scouring, shaping, and modeling. The artist pushes the boundaries of possibility in his quest for tension and balance, resulting in works that are often playful, multi-layered, and stimulate the viewer's imagination.

In this particular exhibition, visitors can encounter several of Schobbers' white polyester sculptures. These monumental pieces exude vitality and movement, standing as beacons of inspiration within the garden's landscape. The bright white color of the sculptures allows them to powerfully stand out against the natural backdrop, creating a striking visual contrast with the greenery and water features of the park.

The integration of Schobbers' art within the Castle Garden Arcen highlights a unique synergy between nature and artistic expression. The sculptures harmonize with the garden's flowing lines, the reflections in the water, and the organic shapes of the trees and flowers. This creates an inspiring environment where visitors can stroll along the artworks, enjoy the elegant surroundings, and find a moment of contemplation amidst the beauty of both art and nature.

Kunstpalast

Paloma Varga Weisz’s Bumpman (2018) is a hauntingly poetic sculpture that bridges the gap between traditional craftsmanship and surrealist narrative. Cast in bronze, the work depicts a seated, human-like figure whose entire body is covered in a dense, unsettling texture of bulbous lumps or "bumps." These protrusions evoke a range of visceral associations, from the swelling of biological growth and pregnancy to the more macabre imagery of plague boils or medical deformities like elephantiasis. Despite this potentially grotesque appearance, the figure exudes a profound sense of serenity. It originally sits atop a roughly textured, horizontal tree trunk with its legs crossed and hands resting quietly in its lap, head tilted slightly upward as if caught in a moment of silent, sun-drenched contemplation.

The power of the sculpture lies in its tension between the "diseased" surface and the figure’s peaceful demeanor, a hallmark of Weisz’s interest in the "bumped body" as a vessel for complex human experience. By placing this figure on a fallen trunk, Weisz connects the human form to the natural world, suggesting a metamorphosis or a state of being that is both organic and alien. The 2018 bronze iteration, which measures over four meters in length including the trunk, often serves as an "outdoor watchman" for her exhibitions. It challenges the viewer to move past initial discomfort to find beauty and empathy in a form that defies societal norms of physical perfection, turning a figure of "otherness" into a symbol of quiet, enduring strength.

Note: The tree trunk was removed in this image. The background was replaced.

The mystery of the wrinkled Australian rugby shirts is one that has puzzled fans and fashionistas alike. It turns out, the wrinkles are not just a fashion statement or a sign of a rough match, but rather a tale of tradition and modernity clashing on the field. Historically, rugby shirts were made of cotton, which, while comfortable and breathable, has a notorious reputation for wrinkling faster than a prune in a bath. As the sport evolved, so did the materials, with polyester blends making their way into the jerseys, promising less wrinkling and more durability. However, some teams clung to the old-school cotton for its classic look and feel, wrinkles be damned! So next time you see a photo of the Wallabies looking like they've been in a scuffle with an ironing board, just remember, it's not a lack of laundry skills, but a nod to the rugged, wrinkle-prone heritage of the sport.

"The female body served as the model for this armchair. You sit as if in your mother's lap, your head nestled between imaginary breasts. The spherical stool, which is attached to the armchair by a cord, is meant to refer to the social bondage of women. The oversized representation of body parts is one of the strategies of Pop Art that was also used in design. The "UP" series comprised seven pieces of furniture. The abbreviation "UP" stands for "uprising", as the first objects were able to expand when exposed to the air thanks to their sponge-like material." (Source: Kunstpalast)

The Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf is an art museum that exhibits works of art and design objects from the Middle Ages to the present day. The museum was built in 1925/26 and is a historic ensemble in the Ehrenhof. The museum reopened in the fall of 2023 after a long closure and a major renovation that cost 50 million euros. The renovation included technical upgrades, a redesign of the collection areas, and a new restaurant. The outdoor area has also been upgraded to provide a higher quality experience for visitors. The Kunstpalast is now a future-oriented museum that meets international standards.

A croissant is a buttery, flaky pastry of Austrian origin, but it is most famously associated with French cuisine. Here are some key points about croissants:

1. Ingredients: Made from a laminated dough, which involves folding butter into the dough multiple times to create thin layers.

2. Shape: Typically crescent-shaped, which is where it gets its name (croissant means "crescent" in French).

3. Texture: Known for its light, airy, and flaky texture, with a golden-brown, crispy exterior.

4. Varieties: Can be plain or filled with ingredients like chocolate, almond paste, or ham and cheese.

5. Consumption: Often enjoyed as a breakfast item or snack, commonly paired with coffee or tea.

Croissants are a beloved pastry worldwide, celebrated for their rich flavor and delicate texture. ✨

This is a showcase video of my Decauville steam engine Class 7 ton named Elgen, I got inspiration for this video from a friend of mine who has done something similar on her channel (Obviously not with a steam engine). So if you see this, thank you for the inspiration!

In this video you will get to experience what Elgen has to offer, such as his gas jet and safety valves hissing loudly, his side rods spinning away and the pressure gauge rising and lowering as the regulator does the same.

My Film, "Tangerine," explores how belonging ties to our indentity which is shaped by our experiences growing up. As a result, the protagonist struggles with her inner child and trauma that shaped her identity as a young adult. The theme 'I belong' is highlighted by the struggles between choosing to overcome her fear and become one with parts of herself of which she was once ashamed. This is purposely illustrated using colors. Blue shows her being separated, distant, cold, but safe. While orange (Tangerine) becomes overwhelming and nostalgic, representing the child inside her.

In the whimsical world of culinary concoctions, the "onion on donut" trend is taking taste buds on a wild ride. Imagine biting into a soft, sweet donut, only to be greeted by the zesty zing of an onion – it's like a flavor rollercoaster for your mouth! This trend could be the brainchild of a mad scientist chef or perhaps an accidental masterpiece when an onion ring and a donut had a delicious collision. It's the kind of snack that might make you question everything you thought you knew about pastries and vegetables living in harmony. Who needs a plain old jelly-filled donut when you can have the tear-jerking, laughter-inducing experience of an onion-stuffed delight? It's not just a snack; it's a conversation starter, a dare, and possibly the most intriguing food fusion since someone decided to put pineapple on pizza. So, if you're feeling adventurous, why not take a walk on the wild side of the bakery and see if this trend is a recipe for success or just a half-baked idea?
