Transcript / Translation:" I grew up with it, I got my first model train when I was six, and then sometime when I was eleven or twelve, I started taking them apart and building them myself. My dad was sad, but that's the way it was. I got some boards from the basement and built a train set that was over 10 feet long and that was my world. When my classmates sold their train sets because they had girlfriends or other hobbies, I bought them up and started collecting them. And so I developed a very deep passion for collecting, and the railroad and especially model trains have been with me all my life, at all times, even when I was distracted from the railroad at work, concentrating on my job and my company. But the railroad was always in the foreground."

"Place for the memory and acceptance of gender and sexual diversity
This place is dedicated to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans* people who were victims of violence, persecution and discrimination in Düsseldorf.
And to all those who stood up for gender and sexual diversity in the past, present and future."
Original German text:
"Ort für die Erinnerung und Akzeptanz geschlechtlicher und sexueller Vielfalt
Dieser Ort ist den Lesben, Schwulen, Bisexuellen und trans* Menschen gewidmet, die Opfer von Gewalt, Verfolgung und Diskriminierung in Düsseldorf wurden.
Und all denen, die in Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft für geschlechtliche und sexuelle Vielfalt einstanden und einstehen."
The 2024 La Motte Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa's Western Cape region presents itself as a beautifully balanced and refreshing expression of the grape. This vintage is typically a blend, often incorporating a small percentage of Semillon (around 10%) to enhance complexity and texture. In the glass, it shows a delicate straw colour with a slight green tinge. On the nose, it offers intense, classic aromas of gooseberry and lime, complemented by fragrant undertones of dried grass, green apple, and sometimes a hint of tropical fruit like litchi. The grapes are sourced from various top Sauvignon Blanc terroirs in the Cape Winelands - including Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, and the Cape South Coast - with the diverse climates contributing to its multi-layered character.
The palate of the 2024 vintage is typically described as supple and smooth, yet still vibrant and dry. It delivers flavours of fresh lemon, winter melon, and green apple, with the signature gooseberry notes continuing from the aroma. While the acidity may be slightly lower than in some previous vintages, it remains well-balanced, contributing to a wonderfully crisp mouthfeel and a juicy, long-lasting finish. This wine is crafted to be enjoyed either as a refreshing aperitif or as a versatile food partner, pairing exceptionally well with classic choices like seafood, light pasta dishes, and its natural companion, goat's cheese, as well as spicier Asian cuisine.

"Princess" by Feng – Official Music Video
Shot, directed, and styled by me
Originally conceived as a small personal art project, this video was born purely from passion. Inspired by the raw, unfiltered energy of underground artists, I envisioned a visual story the moment I heard Princess by Feng. Using an iPhone 5, we shot spontaneously on the streets of Soho after a studio session, capturing a nostalgic, unpolished atmosphere that feels like a forgotten archive of youth.
The styling was minimal yet bold—oversized black outfits paired with delicate tiaras—to create a playful but moody tone. I edited the project entirely in CapCut, staying true to its DIY aesthetic.
What began as an independent concept caught the attention of Feng’s manager, Allureigncti, who loved the authenticity of the visuals. A few conversations later, it became the official music video, now surpassing 180,000 views. Receiving feedback from respected editor Lauzza, who described it as “very playful… like a school trip,” reinforced the spirit I aimed to capture.
This project embodies my passion for storytelling, resourceful creativity, and transforming raw ideas into impactful visuals.
The exposition "Urge" by Fons Schobbers, held in the Water and Sculpture Garden of the Castle Garden Arcen, showcases a collection of compelling sculptures that embody the artist's inner drive for creation. Schobbers, a sculptor and artist born in Venlo in 1947, has been working independently since 1973, drawing inspiration from human forms and emotions. This exhibition marks a return to Arcen for Schobbers, who also presented his work at the garden's opening in 1988.
The title "Urge" reflects the fundamental impulse behind Schobbers' artistic process. His sculptures are born from an intense engagement with materials like plaster, marble, wood, and bronze, involving techniques of hacking, scouring, shaping, and modeling. The artist pushes the boundaries of possibility in his quest for tension and balance, resulting in works that are often playful, multi-layered, and stimulate the viewer's imagination.
In this particular exhibition, visitors can encounter several of Schobbers' white polyester sculptures. These monumental pieces exude vitality and movement, standing as beacons of inspiration within the garden's landscape. The bright white color of the sculptures allows them to powerfully stand out against the natural backdrop, creating a striking visual contrast with the greenery and water features of the park.
The integration of Schobbers' art within the Castle Garden Arcen highlights a unique synergy between nature and artistic expression. The sculptures harmonize with the garden's flowing lines, the reflections in the water, and the organic shapes of the trees and flowers. This creates an inspiring environment where visitors can stroll along the artworks, enjoy the elegant surroundings, and find a moment of contemplation amidst the beauty of both art and nature.

Paloma Varga Weisz’s Bumpman (2018) is a hauntingly poetic sculpture that bridges the gap between traditional craftsmanship and surrealist narrative. Cast in bronze, the work depicts a seated, human-like figure whose entire body is covered in a dense, unsettling texture of bulbous lumps or "bumps." These protrusions evoke a range of visceral associations, from the swelling of biological growth and pregnancy to the more macabre imagery of plague boils or medical deformities like elephantiasis. Despite this potentially grotesque appearance, the figure exudes a profound sense of serenity. It originally sits atop a roughly textured, horizontal tree trunk with its legs crossed and hands resting quietly in its lap, head tilted slightly upward as if caught in a moment of silent, sun-drenched contemplation.
The power of the sculpture lies in its tension between the "diseased" surface and the figure’s peaceful demeanor, a hallmark of Weisz’s interest in the "bumped body" as a vessel for complex human experience. By placing this figure on a fallen trunk, Weisz connects the human form to the natural world, suggesting a metamorphosis or a state of being that is both organic and alien. The 2018 bronze iteration, which measures over four meters in length including the trunk, often serves as an "outdoor watchman" for her exhibitions. It challenges the viewer to move past initial discomfort to find beauty and empathy in a form that defies societal norms of physical perfection, turning a figure of "otherness" into a symbol of quiet, enduring strength.
Note: The tree trunk was removed in this image. The background was replaced.

"The female body served as the model for this armchair. You sit as if in your mother's lap, your head nestled between imaginary breasts. The spherical stool, which is attached to the armchair by a cord, is meant to refer to the social bondage of women. The oversized representation of body parts is one of the strategies of Pop Art that was also used in design. The "UP" series comprised seven pieces of furniture. The abbreviation "UP" stands for "uprising", as the first objects were able to expand when exposed to the air thanks to their sponge-like material." (Source: Kunstpalast)
The Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf is an art museum that exhibits works of art and design objects from the Middle Ages to the present day. The museum was built in 1925/26 and is a historic ensemble in the Ehrenhof. The museum reopened in the fall of 2023 after a long closure and a major renovation that cost 50 million euros. The renovation included technical upgrades, a redesign of the collection areas, and a new restaurant. The outdoor area has also been upgraded to provide a higher quality experience for visitors. The Kunstpalast is now a future-oriented museum that meets international standards.

This is a showcase video of my Decauville steam engine Class 7 ton named Elgen, I got inspiration for this video from a friend of mine who has done something similar on her channel (Obviously not with a steam engine). So if you see this, thank you for the inspiration!
In this video you will get to experience what Elgen has to offer, such as his gas jet and safety valves hissing loudly, his side rods spinning away and the pressure gauge rising and lowering as the regulator does the same.

In the whimsical world of culinary concoctions, the "onion on donut" trend is taking taste buds on a wild ride. Imagine biting into a soft, sweet donut, only to be greeted by the zesty zing of an onion – it's like a flavor rollercoaster for your mouth! This trend could be the brainchild of a mad scientist chef or perhaps an accidental masterpiece when an onion ring and a donut had a delicious collision. It's the kind of snack that might make you question everything you thought you knew about pastries and vegetables living in harmony. Who needs a plain old jelly-filled donut when you can have the tear-jerking, laughter-inducing experience of an onion-stuffed delight? It's not just a snack; it's a conversation starter, a dare, and possibly the most intriguing food fusion since someone decided to put pineapple on pizza. So, if you're feeling adventurous, why not take a walk on the wild side of the bakery and see if this trend is a recipe for success or just a half-baked idea?
Ah, the elusive wild haggis, Scotland's most whimsical creature! With its lopsided gait, thanks to legs of differing lengths, it's a master of the Highland slopes. The wild haggis (Haggis scoticus) is a furry little enigma, bounding around the hills, always clockwise or anti-clockwise, depending on which set of legs is longer. These creatures are not just a marvel of evolution but also a culinary delight, being the key ingredient in Scotland's national dish of haggis, neeps, and tatties. It's said that catching a wild haggis is a skill, as they can be quite speedy despite their peculiar anatomy. And let's not forget the challenges they face during mating season; it's a real dance of coordination and balance. So, if you ever find yourself in the Scottish forests, keep an eye out for these quirky animals. Just remember, if you're trying to spot one, it might be easier to go round in circles!

It's disheartening to see such a beautiful piece of art in its current condition. It's clear that time has taken its toll, and it's unfortunate that it hasn't been better preserved. Hopefully, something can be done to restore it to its former glory. It would be a shame to lose such a treasure. It deserves to be enjoyed by future generations.

Macarons are the epitome of French patisserie elegance, a sweet meringue-based confection that's as delightful to the eyes as it is to the palate. These little treats are made from a blend of almond flour, egg whites, and sugar, often colored and filled with a variety of ganaches, buttercreams, or jams. Achieving the perfect macaron is a baking badge of honor, as they require precision and patience. For those looking to embark on this culinary adventure, there are numerous recipes and guides available to help perfect the technique and explore a world of flavors.
