Black-capped Chickadees nest in holes in dead trees, usually not over 3 m up. The nest cavity is lined with soft, dry moss, on which is placed a thick layer of matted small mammal fur: rarely, plant down is used, presumably when fur is not available. Laying begins about mid-May, 5 to 9 eggs, usually 7 or 8; white, spotted with bright cinnamon brown.
Bottle caps from the Falstaff Brewing Company, with a rebus puzzle on it. From the 1970s or 1980s, I think. Found in a jar in my grandparents' house.
MSH 2/12: Okay, the picture doesn't show it, but they were in a jar originally!

Chicago artist Mary Ellen Croteau collected recycled plastic bottle caps to tile, layer and juxtapose each cap in order to create a self-portrait mosaic titled "CLOSE". An amazing work !
From the artist:
Plastic bottle caps – like bags, a plastic product that can’t be/ isn’t recycled. I conceived of an “endless column” of these caps, after Constantin Brancussi’s iconic modernist sculpture. One became two, and two became many. While making these columns, I noticed the smaller caps tended to nest inside one another, and the color combinations reminded me of Chuck Close’s painted portraits. So I got sidetracked and started on a large self-portrait made entirely of bottle caps. The piece measures 8 feet by 7 feet. No paint is used, except to delineate a few shadows where white board was showing through. In a few cases, the caps are trimmed in order to fit a tight space.

Dual composition Civia 463 + 465, making a service Airport - Granollers Centre, R2 line north suburban Catalonia, through the station Montmeló. Interestingly Civia we see in this first image, 463 203M, rose about 3 years ago to Puigcerdà test.
Villefranche-sur-Mer is a commune in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region on the French Riviera. Villefranche-sur-Mer adjoins the city of Nice to the east. The bay is one of the deepest natural harbours of any port in the Mediterranean Sea.
Taken a little further up the beach from my last updates, and again these images were taken using a Lee Filters "Big Stopper" 10 stop ND filter.
They are also me familiarising myself with long exposure photography, getting used to how to work with large Fstop filters and more importantly the exposure times.
A 90 second exposure.
The new Canon pinch caps cost two to three times as much as competing lens caps, but they are probably also the best. The threads on the jaws are half a thread deeper than most. The pinch tabs are wide and deep. The cap is slightly thicker than normal to accommodate the deep pinch tabs. At the same time, the spring on the inside is thinner than the others, so the center has greater clearance from the front element.
Not surprisingly, I replaced the Zeiss lens caps as soon as I got the lens. The Zeiss ones are probably the worst that I have ever used. There is little to grab onto and the slight outward bulge in the center is less stable when then lens is placed front element side down.

I am the worst, I know. I am still taking photos, I'm just being very unmotivated about editing and posting them. SOON~
My graduation ceremony was on Monday, June 14. I now have a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours in Visual Arts from York University.
