Trying to estimate the spacing for the poles and location of outrigger in relation to the center of the canoe.
My father made a visit to Washington during his army stint in the early 1950s.
The canoe trip didn't go as planned, guessing from the notes on the back.

Streamlining the camp gear we packed up in a canoe and paddled our way over to Little Square Pond near the Saranac Lake area. Finding a campsite only accessible by water, we had a campsite completely off to ourselves.
I saw these canoes at the Presque Isle canoe and boat livery after a pontoon boat tour. I liked the vivid colors of the canoes lined up along the shore. It represents one of the many activities that can be enjoyed at the peninsula. Photo by Michael St. Onge.

The big rock is labeled "Men". I'm guessing the women's room was elsewhere but I did not see a big rock labeled as such.
